It did the same thing last weekend with all the weekend planetary logging. I think it’s working again, although it shorted me some points. I wasn’t trying to overachieve, so no biggie!
Oh and guess what? It’s snowing again in Minneapolis, where I’ve been the past few days.
Jim, Watch out for concussion symptoms. Not fun. I slipped a couple years ago and hit my head. Lots of Tylenol is really helpful.
I was #332. I get asked for my ID even though I usually sit behind the poll worker when we’re both at church. I think they kind of have to, or are supposed to.
No craphas here. Rainy and windy earlier. Now it’s just kind of cruddy out there.
I have a lamb cake to bake. Better go get my ingredients and supplies. I can’t do a sicko one this year, because we’re bringing it to dinner with girl Taylor’s family tomorrow. Though I think they’d actually appreciate the sicko versions.
I’m trying to behave here. Back me up!
Two points. Two…lousy…points from getting the last souvenirs! Rochester was a challenge. One multi, we get there and can’t do the first stage, cause it’s inside the nature center…which is closed for renovations. Three DNFs. An intercache that could take two hours, which we didn’t have to spare today. The list goes on.
Luckily, we did pick up a TB and will drop it in one of our puzzle caches. We really have much more serious things going on right now to be concerned about such silliness.
Hopefully we get our last two souvenirs tomorrow when we cache around Rochester (MN). If we don’t, we don’t.
Ha ha, that’s kind of the case with us these days as well. Between aging parents, a dog who isn’t too much longer for our world and the stuff with grandkids, we’re lucky to travel a couple hours anywhere, and even luckier to be able for both of us to go overnight anywhere. Except for this past week, pretty much any finds on our profile this year were made when Trekkin’ met zuma and crew somewhere to be sociable.
Our ability to travel much is limited these days, so it’s going to be a stretch. We were able to take a little trip down the river and into Iowa the other day, getting four ECs and a small number of other caches. Other than that, we’ve been picking up some of the things within our “local” unfound listings. We are out to Uranus, though. We have a sweep of Rochester MN planned, one that would be best on the weekend (read…around Mayo Clinic and downtown) but tomorrow’s forecast isn’t helpful. Maybe the next Saturday. That’s our hope, anyway, and our best shot at getting all of the little artworks. We’ve been doing a lot of maintenance (and some archiving as a result) of our hides, which are not dominated by traditionals, so anyone in our area will have some choices for points if they want to go hiking or solve puzzles!
And….another mil grade ammo can….taken. We archived a few more today, but opted to replace the stolen one for our “Classics” challenge in a nearby spot, not winter friendly, and not a nice ammo can. We may or may not put a couple new ones out there. We’ll see. I’m tired of providing storage containers for everyone in LaCrosse county.
Missed getting in on 900. Playing outside and other such things can do that. 😉
About halfway toward coming up with the bucks for the dulcimer. We have several student violins collecting dust, time to put one of those on consignment somewhere. The owner of the dulcimer in question seems to want to hold it for me, even though I told him to take a serious offer if he gets one. He was the workshop leader at the workshop I attended a year ago. I can understand why a person might want to make sure something goes to someone they’ve actually met and seen use said type of item.
I think I need a third dulcimer with a 1 1/2 fret, don’t you? Someone I know has one for sale that’s a beaut! Now if KEH would just get back to me with the lens I sent them, I could almost pay for it!
The Steeldrivers concert at the Stoughton Opera House was awesome!
Thanks….the one I looked at must have bumped off the first page.
8.3 inches of craphas here. Yesterday, bare ground. Today…..I just got back in from xc skiing. It’s gonna melt in a couple days anyway. Already is.
Found and photographed a SawWhet Owl yesterday. Way better than any caching challenge we’ve done…this has been years in the works for me. No birding hotline, just my own eyes, ears and persistence finally paying off.
