Congratulations! Fun stories behind the accomplishment, but unlike sandlanders, this one is on our radar.
Would help if we found some of the others first, LOL. Again, a great milestone choice!
Congratulations on a BIG milestone!
Keep your eyes peeled…..we have received permission for the placement of the challenge cache behind this idea and just have to get it over there and write it up.
Yes, Cemented in History is on the list. Once we get it published, that bookmark will go “live!”
In addition to many generous gifts from several companies, the following items have been purchased by the WGA for the prize table….
2-$25 Kwik Trip cards
1-$50 Kwik Trip cards
1-really nice hip bag
1-Eddie Bauer hiking stick
2-rechargeable battery kits
2-nice aluminum hydration bottles
1-headlamp for hunting those night caches!
2-containers of Repel insect repellentI think that’s it. If anyone has things they wish to donate to the prize table, feel free. See you tomorrow!
I hear stories like this all the time. I was tempted to do the same when I went to Hawaii, but didn’t want to drive my friend nuts with caching stuff.
Have fun!
Congratulations!
Congratulations on a fun way to hit a milestone!
Cool beans and big congrats to you!
Congratulations on joining the 1K club, Tim. If I’m not mistaken, JimandLinda are in charge of the club keys! LOL
09/15/2009 at 9:51 pm in reply to: Should placing a geocache inside a roundabout be banned? #1914236I find it interesting that though most who have spoken up on this thread feel they should be “banned,” or at the very least, are not a great place for a hide, the poll results show a definite leaning toward letting them go.
So can we hear from the other side of this discussion?
Congratulations to JJ and family, and to the brand new grandparents! Having very recently experienced the same, we can agree…..way better than a FTF!
Pictures. We want pictures! You aren’t really a grandpa until we see them, LOL.
09/15/2009 at 3:14 am in reply to: Should placing a geocache inside a roundabout be banned? #1914217We’ve done a couple of these, but they were on quiet sleepy little residential areas. Still, there does seem to be a safety issue. Honestly, the ones located in busy spots pose far more danger than ones I’d like to place along the LaCrosse River Bike trail, but can’t, due to railroad proximity. (although I’m told I can try with the right combination of elements).
If we have to get little sheets along with our auto license stickers to explain how to negotiate these as drivers, it would seem that as Jim said, drivers have enough to worry about as we become familiar with these wonderful innovations, LOL.
We can remember when we met you and you were excited about going for 200 later that day. You’ve come a long way….congratulations!
Great way to reach that milestone, it’s a fun series! A big congratulations to you!
Great choice, that’s one of our favorite caches to this day. Congratulations!
