Cool to mark this milestone on WI’s oldest active cache….congratulations!
Hey, congratulations. Perfect choice, too!
We were really lucky when we visited this one a couple years ago, because there was a big event taking place and many, many vets were there. We kept looking at these older men and thinking of all the history they each hold.
One doesn’t really see the scope of this one if you just pass by on the highway, and as Ralph said, a perfect example of a good virt.
1974 AMC Hornet Hatchback. That was the first one with my name on the title, but the first car I had to drive was an Rambler American. 1964 model.
My brother, a car buff, has bought one for himself out of nostalgia! LOL
His good car is a brand new Mercedes! One hundred is the point of no return! Welcome to the dark side and congratulations!
Congratulations on another one. Coming up on 3k in the near future!
We did several of them last year, and now with the new series, have found about 15 of them so far….with three years this go around, we hope to find most if not all of them.
I know we’ve bounced around the notion on the WGA board of working with the Parks to create a similar program. It sure seems to have brought a lot of people into the parks in MN.
Blaise is correct in that with so many newbies, things tend to get lost in them. Not sure how that could be averted if we created a program like that here, but ideas would be great. Some of the caches this year have been much tougher…William O Brien, Fort Snelling and Sakatah Lake all stand out as stellar caches that were a little tougher to find and had longer hikes than most….so far!
Congratulations…a great milestone cache!

Trekkin’ has mostly kicked that addiction now. Mostly!
Just so you guys all know, Renee brought this to our attention and I just read through the whole thread. It does sound like a promotional gimmick rather than a true interest in looking at another activity kids could pursue to get out into the world.
I know Renee as a park and rec person is getting TONS of requests like this from all manner of groups all the time. Seems like we get a little press and as Katrina said, it becomes a bandwagon thing. Not to say it couldn’t be a great opportunity, though, with the right education.
Congratulations!
What a great series to mark this milestone for her. I was looking at these and hope to do them myself. Congratulations!
Sounds like quite the adventure to make 1600 with that crew! 😉
Congratulations!Congratulations….so did you throw any passes back to the players while
searching? We couldn’t really pin Grandpa down last night, LOL.
Thanks everyone. I was over to visit the little guy again today with his uncle and they are doing well today. Looks like they’ll go home tomorrow.
