Pirate stuff….so there was finally some communication from the Frog about all this piracy stuff this summer.  How’s about they give bonus points if one is actually descended from real historical pirates?

Trekkin’ (and Mr. Timberline Echoes)….Sir Francis Drake.

      Birdin’….Captain Kidd

Big Jim…..if we can’t sneak in an event in Ironwood this weekend between wedding activities, we might sail into yours on the way home Sunday night.  With a contingent of our mateys along….

Oh man, when it rains it pours!  Hopefully the househunting is successful, the issues with the vehicle are resolved without too much more pain and misery and most importantly, things turn around soon for your son.

I should add….when we did the CITO at Yosemite a few years back, a lot of the people there were from the greater Bay area.  They were very nice and welcomed us like old friends that weekend.  You’ll get to meet a whole bunch of new, creative folks once you settle in!

How soon is your move?  In time for the school year, I’d guess.

Exciting news!  Our dearest friends answered a call to a church in St. Helena many years back.  We try to visit every few years.  It’s tough “having” to visit Napa Valley.  Good luck!

I didn’t go to goat yoga last night. The grandkids missed their dads and wanted to hang out with them now that they’re home!  Maybe next week.

Tonight we see a gymnastics performance.

Hurray for GSAK!  Looks like it might be GC9594.  Helps that we used to be sorta compulsive about getting everything in our radius.  Not anymore, but that era of our caching career covered the old stuff!

The one for La Crosse was also recently archived.  I’ll do some searching and see if I can figure out which one it is now.

Haven’t looked at tomorrow’s forecast, but this is the first time in over a week there are no small kids here.  We don’t really know what to do with ourselves now!

But I’m sure we’ll come up with something!

We had both grandkids overnight last night.  Their dads got in late from returning from the music festival in Michigan.  I know one dad took the day off to hang out with Star Lily, but no idea if Pooh’s Pal’s parents are working today…or sleeping in.

Might see about goat yoga tonight.  We’ll see how things go!

Pooh’s Pal is waking up. He doesn’t get to sleep until really late, even though he’s in bed at a reasonable hour. No wonder my son and his partner have bags under their eyes!

Pooh’s Pal needs to get up earlier so he can go to sleep earlier?????

Um…..He’s usually up quite early.  He goes to bed by 8:30.  Doesn’t mean he sleeps then.  We are dealing with what is euphemistically called a “high energy” child. His brain takes a long time to slow down enough to fall asleep.  His parents do a great job and are probably stricter than Grandma and Grandpa  (as it should be!)

It seems that my iPad won’t recharge anymore.  Goodbye, iPad.  End of arguments between grand-kids, at least about that.  Not replacing it.  I bought it for work.  Don’t work anymore.  Don’t need it anymore!

Oh, I’m so sorry to hear all that!  Hope this move makes the difference for your son.

GC doesn’t allow underscores, spaces, special characters, any of that now.  Just letters and numbers with no spaces.  Capital letters are still okay.

Love those local color comments from the council meeting!

Pooh’s Pal is catching up on his cache logging.  Now his cousin has joined the fun…StarLily1.  Did you know that you can’t have spaces in a caching name anymore?  We had all kinds of issues signing her up with her chosen name and she was pretty insistent about the space….as well she should be, as a young reader and writer.  What’s up with that, anyway?

Oh….probably to make it easier on the apps on the smartphones.  Making us dumb one smartphone at a time????

Someone from the Oneida reservation posted a pretty scary tornado photo last night.  (One of my friends is registered Oneida).

Just a half day at the Habitat site today. Kind of a weird day, as there was this “pay to play” group that wanted these days to do good.  Usually those groups are limited to Saturday.  They treated me like I was this “new” person and one was a little bossy and asked if the chapter has “regular volunteers.” Um.  Yes.  Yes they do.  I’m one of them.  Every Thursday, lol
