Congratulations, glad to have met you and to be there for part of the milestone. We too can remember our 100th. In fact, we’re hoping to place a challenge cache near its location sometime soon!
Nope, wouldn’t want you to…..one like this is the kind Trekkin’ and I fight over….meaning, we both want the honors! Maybe we can borrow the kids to serve as distraction.
I can say I know Archimboldo aka fruit face quite well after working on that one. I can only hope conditions will be favorable for us to try and find the cache tomorrow, since being on a day trip will negate any opportunity to do a retrieval under cover of darkness.
King Boreas has been putting out letterbox hybrids in St. Paul that are based on the medallion clues from past years of the Winter Carnival medallion hunts. Interesting concept. I’ve found two of them so far. Takes a lot more research than the usual kind of letterbox hide, but kind of fun.
Governor Dodge State Park isn’t all that far of a drive. Lots of hiking, but fun caches that show you a variety of landforms.
Yes, we live in the heart of the Driftless Area….each part of the state has its charms, but for rugged beauty, this area and way up north are hard to beat. Terrain ratings tend to be a little harder overall along with that rugged beauty.
Absolutely don’t miss Dr. Evermore. You will be standing in front of something in the Guinness Book of World Records if you go. If you do go that direction, you won’t be far from Devil’s Lake State Park and caches in that area.
Anywhere you go, you’ll find something fun to do here. If you do come down toward the Driftless area, be aware that we do have Timber Rattlesnakes hanging out amongst the rocks on our bluffs.
Coongratulations from cachers downriver from you!
Somehow, I’m just not shocked to read this! Congratulations, you’re moving along at a nice brisk pace!
That’s our plan…..CITO, then caching, although probably finding the caches in the park we’re cleaning will figure in there somwhere. If you tell Trekkin’ it’s a competition to gather trash, I can guarantee he’ll find tons of it! 😉
Hey, Maybe when we do that one this summer, the snow will have melted and we’ll find the GPSr! LOL
We haven’t met yet, but yes, you are a Wisconsin caching pioneer we’ve heard about. Glad to see you out on the trails again, hope we meet someday.
Gee, and to think when we first met you, you were heading to Saddle Mound for what, number 200? Congratulations on another milestone!
Glad to hear you were able to get the treatment fairly quickly. We’ve reached into spots, but unless I can see just where my hand is going….I look for a stick. Our neighbor got bitten by a bat many years ago and never had to complete the treatment, as her titer or whatever it is returned to acceptable levels after one or two courses of the shots. Maybe you’ll have similar luck.
The snake thing in the rocks is a regular concern for us, of course.
Congratulations, way to do it in style!
KVR-HILO is definitely milestone worthy, plus for Seth, it has the added attraction of being a multi. You guys already know what a gorgeous area the valley is. We’d meet you at the end! Heck, we might even join you and revisit the whole route.
Congratulations on a big milestone. We hope to get up that way and do some of those caches ourselves.
