Congratulations! Great way to start the new year.
Well, the cache owner might! 😉 Actually, though I’ll take help on hard puzzles when I’m stuck, I really do enjoy the “figgering” part of the game.
The only other puzzles there we have left are the other two mural ones. I tried getting some info for one of them, but sort of fell flat and quit.
Methinks Wisconsin will shortly have their own version.
Just saying, is all. 😉
We haven’t found Green Bean Cacherole, and I have three solved puzzles in Point to find, plus a handful of others.
The puzzles solved are…
It’s Your Call
On Point|River Rats
The Doctor VisitsNot sure if the protocol for these allows group finds or not!
There are three along the Green Circle Trail near the airport we need to find, too.
Which parking coordinates should be our meeting spot? I noticed there are a couple options.
We’re in! We’ll be there with our own snowshoes at 9AM. I was thinking we’d like to do this one soon, anyway. Although THB and Mrs. TE claim we’re being wusses doing it now. They apparently went when the crocodiles were more active.
I had my turn with S4!
Looking forward to this. Can someone shoot me a phone number to call in case weather issues prevent us from traveling?
Hey GMO, Maybe we can take you up on that this next paddling season. We’d hoped to get the “Transportation” one today on our way home from Trekkin’s folks, but between the nasty wind and what it was doing to our roads, we just kept on driving. Pretty weird to have sunny skies and bad roads, but there you have it!
Looks like a bunch of you went after the Skeleton Keys series this weekend. We did it last summer and had a blast, from the beginning of getting the codes to the final discovery!
Maybe not. The caches are near ground level or have the potential for being hidden by snow. Not right on the ground, though. The eyes certainly are friendly! LOL It might be worth a try, especially if you’re getting the melting we’ve been getting down here, though.
You guys know the waters and ice up there, we’ll heed your advice. Thanks!
Okay, that’s good information. Maybe we can exonerate our previous DNF either on our way north or back. Thanks!
Trekkin’ would agree, gotta run. He needs to ditch his “period correct” bindings on his snowshoes. When we did some last winter while he was using those, I’d say the caches for him were about a 6! LOL My shoes are period correct, the bindings are not. There’s a reason the old ones fell out of fashion!
Hey OPS, would that be the one over near the Schofield Dam? We got all the rest last summer—with the canoe—but misjudged which slough to paddle, got out, realized we should have gone one more, then realized…..we have to get across that water before the thunderstorm hits!
I’d slogged through the green muck to the other one before that, though.I would have thought there’d be too much current, too, but was surprised to see that some folks got the bandits “Skeleton Keys” series last winter on the ice. I won’t say we’ve *never* cheated a paddle cache, we have done a couple on the ice. We also hauled that canoe up north for nothing last summer, too, when the prospect of trying to paddle a lake near TE’s place in gusty winds just didn’t mesh with our concept of “fun.” We’ve softened our thinking a little after that!
Merry Christmas from us, too. Be well, travel safe, find all those caches! 🙄
Just enjoying the sons and their girlfriends’ company over dinner and presents today, but one girlfriend did tell us her grandparents got a GPSr for Christmas and want to start caching. Poor kids, they’re getting it from all sides!
Probably not, although Trekkin’ is thinking about placing one or two today sometime.
Now, if we’d been traveling to visit family tomorrow….we’d be grabbing a few on the way. One son and associated girlfriend are coming here tomorrow, so we’ve been saved from caching on Christmas day!
