Probably not a bad idea, Dean–especially as down and dirty as we have to get finding some of yours! 😉

We’re talking to the park board at their meeting this coming Thursday, too.

Marc—intimate with Trekkin and Birdin? I hope the video doesnt get on the web.

Well now, only those who stop getting all the Lonely Caches in reach will ever be allowed to see that video! LOL

Don’t worry marc, I know nada about youtube, so we’re all safe here! 🙄

Marc, go take a look at the scoreboard. There are three of them duking it out, with the rest of us picking up the crumbs, LOL. Maybe there’s some dark horse out there who has two weeks vacation coming up to blast out of nowhere, though.

Not us. LOL Bostwick is a cool cache. All of them up in that forest are cool caches. Just don’t go in the fog, or your 2 mile hike turns into a fiver.

While doing maintenance on one’s own cache, even. Yup. We got lost looking for our own cache on Sunday!

Been there, done that, have the t-shirt.

We had a funny TB story. We pulled a coin from the Dugway Road cache south of Prairie du Chien last fall, and dropped it in one north of Hayward a week or two later.

Within the last couple weeks, we retrieved the same coin from one in Rochester! It’s sitting in Door County now.

Not so tough a job when you own 99% of the puzzles in the state!

                🙄

I’m sorry you suffered the damage and fear, but glad to hear everyone is okay. That storm was almost one-of-a-kind, from what they’re saying.

Thanks, I remembered that rule and that’s why I’d contacted this cache owner in the first place. Plus I think it’s just a good idea to make sure it’s okay with the owners, contest or not.

Like I said, we’ll never catch folks like Sagasu or zuma, but it’s fun to try. The caches we did this past weekend that were lonely were among the most incredible caching experiences we’ve had. Go read about Shift MadCITXOC near Black River Falls. We’d have done it eventually, but going when we did made it more exciting.

Especially for some of us, right DOC.? 😉

Here’s an FYI—-I was looking for lonely caches along a route I have to travel for storytelling stuff this weekend and was all excited to see this one. GCPJE7 Golden Delicious It sounded like Honeybunnies, who were the last searchers, just found part of the final, and also like it is at a private campground. So I emailed the cache owners to see if it’s okay to look for it right now and if I could replace the final.

She just emailed me back and said it’s not a good time to hunt for it and she should have archived it for the winter.

Otherwise, would there have been bonus points for trespassing out of season and finding a cache? 😯 There is no way we’ll ever catch someone like Dave. My gosh, he’s a machine!

You might be able to cut and paste the information and translate it with an online site like babelfish.com If nothing else, it should get you close enough to figure it out.

Have fun. I did lots of traveling *before* I was geocaching, silly me!

Oh, we had the coordinates. Just never bothered to waymark things like “the tree where the trail goes down in the valley.” Normally we could see it from the parking lot, LOL

I am so sore all over today. I’ve NEVER been this worn down. Methinks maybe it has something to do with the wild company I’ve been keeping! 😉

Tha scary part? A caching day like yesterday is not that unusual for us. Be afraid. Be very afraid!

It’s taken care of now. I wonder if maybe the site was experiencing issues, too, as it said something different each time I tried to make the change.

But it’s all good now. Thanks!

We did, we went out to do freaking maintenance on some of our caches and had an adventure almost as crazy as yesterday’s!

Note to self: do not go into the woods when visibility is around 30 feett and you can’t see your landmarks. Ay caramba!

Sounds like another road trip to visit the in-laws is in order before the snow melts, LOL. That’s our kind of cache, glad you got out and enjoyed it.
