I don’t want that last comment to sound critical, you guys have done a ton of work to try and create something fun and we’ve been enjoying them.  I just thought that keeping them premium isn’t going to minimize the kind of issues they might have, and it cuts out the opportunity for some to join in the fun.  We appreciate the centralized location, especially since it’s less than two hours from home!

I saw a comment on the facebook page from a long time cacher (who served on the board when I did).  He’s no longer a premium member, which made me wonder…why ARE all the listings premium?  Having them available to all would help newer folks join the WGA fun, and from what we’ve seen….not quite half of them now….any problems they might encounter are more likely the result of brush cutters, curious locals and later…snow plows.

I did some Christmas shopping a couple weeks back at a local “Makers Open House” held right here in town.  We were out again today, mainly because we wanted to right a problem from yesterday at the Babcock Cafe.  Made the whole trip worthwhile.  I told Trekkin’ no more geoart for a little while, so I can do more holiday stuff, too!  We’ve done a lot less caching this year, so these last couple days were a bit overwhelming.  I don’t know how we did that kind of thing before!

We encountered another one gone missing (we’re pretty sure) today and met Professor Leisure there, who also had the same solve and couldn’t find it.  It’s near the area where the three were shut down due to landowner concerns…..#164.  Haven’t looked to see if anyone else logged it, though we met another cacher later, saw Big Red on the job but he was a half mile ahead of us, and saw another name on some logs.

Thanks T&B. Just read your logs. Enjoyed everyone one. You hit my section yesterday.

Thanks, it was a fun little trip.  I’m curious as to who did the ones related to “our” oddities?  It’s been a long time since we’ve visited some of those places, so it’s fun to “revisit” virtually.

That’s great to hear, Mr. G.  I hope everything goes up and stronger from here on out!

We found 140 today, as did a couple others yesterday.  It wasn’t clear to us either and in fact, once we got out there, realized the result wasn’t correct.  I had tried to use some logic to overcome the confusion. I knew one of my numbers was a “for sure,” so I just redid the other two, drove there, and whaddya know?  A geotrail!

That’s great, thanks!  Hope others take advantage of it as well.  So far, we haven’t needed any help, but we’re only maybe 1/4 way through the solves, so you never know!

We found it.  I just needed to expand my search in a different direction! 😉

One of the aspects I’ve enjoyed about this series is the opportunity to explore THIS site more fully.  I see a facebook group has been started for the geoart, but maybe a separate forum here can be created as well, to encourage facebook conscientious objectors to come here more often and socialize….like it was “back in the day!”  [;)]

                          What’s wrong with this picture?

I went to the basement to put away various items, carrying my coffee with me.  I can find a tiny bison tube tucked out of sight into a crevice in a tree, but can’t find the stupid coffee?????

Yes, I expanded my search area.

Sorry about Dolly, that’s always hard.  Have fun finding a new friend for Daisy!

You have my sympathy.  I get that coughing thing every year this time, no matter what measures I take to prevent it.  I haven’t done yoga at the studio in over a week, though there were people coughing there when I last went.  Probably where I got it this time.  🙁

Fox 11?  Really?  It’s made the local paper, but the closest thing I saw on the news was mention of it when a group headed out there a couple days ago.  Cool!

What a cool story, especially since Jordan was a big part of finding the solution.  Thanks for sharing it!
