Our geocache is appearing in a Red Bull promotion!
If you watch the video, anytime you see that row of tall pines in the background….Wisconsin Roadside Weirdness Challenge’s container is hanging in one of them. This was pretty amazing to watch. Kind of makes up for the fact that the big eyeball isn’t sitting there now.
I was just wondering what had happened to you. Glad to see you’re still around!
Get myself a :ftp: since it’s been awhile
Maybe I can get….
Trekkin’ might hunt the muzzleloader season, he’s still undecided. Our older son surprised us…he borrowed stuff to go out with a friend next weekend. He went a couple years when he was a teenager, but not since.
Wonder if he needs his hunter education card to get his license? Not my problem…he’s 30 years old and can figure that out for himself now.
Have a safe and successful hunt, everyone.
Finally got the Audubon newsletter out. I had a couple people holding me up with stuff they needed to get me.
Now, my other question for those of you who’ve seen me or pictures of me. I’m developing a living history first person account of an ornithologist. (Big surprise, huh?) I’m not fishing for compliments, so be honest….how old do I look? This will help guide me as to what stage of her life I need to represent. Fashions changed significantly over the span of her life, so I need a focal point for the costume and accoutrements used in my program. Thanks.
As the song says….” I feel GOOD!”
My yoga studio is celebrating their 5th birthday today. As part of that celebration, after practice, they treated us to a catered brunch at the new, not yet open, cafe downstairs. That felt good enough, but…
I went to “like” the cafe’s FB page and saw an event posted. They have a connection with someone heading to Standing Rock to provide dinner and were looking for volunteers to help bake 2000 dinner rolls to be brought there. Whether you agree with what’s going on there or not, I stand with them because of the treaty rights, and am happy to find something I can do to contribute that involves more than clicking a petition or something. I’ll be rolling out bread dough Nov. 22.
And I just came from a small craft show featuring handmade gifts by local artists. Got three Christmas gifts and a little something for myself, too.
We did the last hike on a KVR trail we’d never explored before. One more day of hiking and we’ll have finished the 2016 Trail Challenge!
My mind has been blown! The actor who plays the new agent on NCIS, Agent Torres, is the same guy who played Fez on That 70s Show.
Oh, was that when the concept of gadgetry came up?
And I found my book. I’d looked in the right place before, but it was just too buried by folded fabric remnants. Shame on me for having a hobby other than caching to interfere! 😉
Where did I say that? I remember it, just not where.
Speaking of where…..if you were my black notebook with a bazillion puzzle solves entered, where would you be? It’s not with the rest of my stuff. I had solved a puzzle a couple years back, and we might just be near it tomorrow. I don’t want to do the work again!!!! (I suspect my book is in the girl cave, which is now sealed off in anticipation of painting the center room upstairs. It’s been like that for awhile…maybe some of the tape has fallen away?)
Yeah, growing up in Minnesota, I gave them four chances. Then when I moved to Wisconsin, I became a Packer fan, back when Lynn Dickey was the QB and they were awful. It only could go up from there.
I went to bed at the rain delay, too. Wish I’d toughed it out!
But it’s Thursday, so that means…..what item did Birdin’ find in her pocket pilfered from the Habitat site? Today it was just a cover from a tube of caulk. My hands will never come clean completely after today’s job!
Way to go, Pat and Mark. What a beautiful time to visit Straight Lake, too.
Well, we found deer ticks two weekends back hiking around Hurley. Today, after canoeing the Kickapoo, we found one more. We don’t like deer ticks around here. We do, however, LOVE that we could get out canoeing in 70 degree weather in November. That was the segment of our trail challenge we were afraid we wouldn’t be able to do, what with all the flooding this year.
