Hey, congratulations…now get with it and pass us up, okay? 😉
I’m still waiting to hear something back. I got a spam “frequent bounce” one, but since I have no clue when I mail from the website what the actual recipient email is, I’m not sure if it went through or not. If I hear nothing, I’ll just bite the bullet and call the 800 number. Glad you’re having luck, though it sucks these things don’t last.
Anyone want to take bets here? My Canon EOS 60D, which is less than two years old, has been progressively giving me fits, now to the point where I’m lucky if I get one photo before the “Error 01” message appears and renders it useless. I’ve done all the suggested fixes, and have now written to Canon to see if they’ll stand behind it. It started this nonsense very occasionally shortly after I got it. Now it basically won’t work.
This was not a cheap camera, and I’ve used Canon for a good thirty years quite happily. I sure hope they make this one right and don’t want me to pay the cost of another camera to fix it. (I had to do that after awhile with my previous Canon D). Who wants to place odds they’ll do right?
Sorry, I tried searching the site for answers after having been internet-free for three days. Didn’t find that explanation. Thanks!
We had a three day internet fast. It was wonderful. Why the heck am I back on, then? *eye roll*
The historic challenge cache is GC1JA35…..I think I retained all the characters in short term memory. Two left. One is in northern Minnesota, so it would depend.
Becca, I highly recommend Marinette County waterfalls in early October. Worth chasing, still one of my favorite trips.p
Life remains the same for us…cache less but explore more. We are looking forward to our Yellowstone/Devils Tower trip in the fall….hike, hike and hike some more! The only remaining goals are to finish Minnesota’s virtuals and the historic cache challenge. Very close on both, but a couple of the virts are virtually unapproachable for the foreseeable future.
So…we have new next door neighbors. We met them tonight. They already know us because…..the husband graduated from high school with our son. And the wife is the younger sister of one of the same son’s old soccer teammates.
Weird.
How does autocorrect decide that site is Sara?
Just got to our motel after a day at Cahokia Mound. Amazing Sara…I’d have loved to be there for sunrise or sunset, but we’re at the mercy of the trip organizers. We also found 17 of 19 caches at the site and saw corners of the site most people miss. Long ride back home tomorrow. The winds were between 30-45 Mph. Felt like gale force on the top of Monks Mound!
I have to get ready for our bus trip to Cahokia and Ste. Genevieve, but am struggling because we’re going (at family’s urging) during a time when things in my family are kind of stressful and unpredictable. It’s weird. I just need to focus, I guess.
We’re supposed to be picked up at 3PM today. I’m still in my jammies.
I spotted the “Exclusive Games” thing.
It’s all coming back. I never did master nail painting and gave up it in my early teens. I decided because I’m barefoot in yoga, I should get on the stick and give myself a pedicure. My grand-daughter could do a better job of painting my nails. Ugh.
I am so not a girly-girl.
I’ve been away on my “pretty much weekly” trip home to help my parents, and where I was…no snow at all. While I was gone, Trekkin’ went out last night cross country skiing by moonlight. Wish I could have joined him.
I’m so sorry to hear this. Sadly, having visited it myself, I can only think it was taken by a cacher for the bugs in it. That really sucks.
Dead coyotes, dead raccoons, illegal stashes being tossed out, money, and one time, some kind of ceremonial sword. A stolen bike that we reported. Probably lots of other things, but those stand out. Most recently, we found an iPhone and wallet, which had us finding the closest police station to turn them in.
We go to discover cool places or history, and sometimes we find other things. One time I was caching in some woods north of the Twin Cities that had a maze of unofficial trails. I approached a bunch of tarps and decided I didn’t need the cache that badly. Another police report. Who knew that looking for boxes in the woods would result in regular reports to the police?
