Really coming down here now.
Light snow just starting, 10AM.
Still hasn’t hit here, but the birds are really revved up. I would never want to be the person who has to make school closing decisions. Someone is always going to be unhappy, no matter how they do it. Today is the first one of these around here, so they could call it tomorrow and only have to add one day in the end.
Nothing here yet as of 8:40. We miss the excitement of a snow day. Every day is a snow day now.
The big ones are holding off yet. I know one time in the last couple years, there was a big storm predicted, schools cancelled and it fizzled out. Then of course you get all the facebook critiques…”back in my day!” Back in my day, most of us could walk to the neighborhood schools we attended and people weren’t so quick to sue someone if their kid got cold. I would never want to be a school administrator. No matter what you do, people will be upset with you and blame it all on you.
Wow, most area schools are already closed for tomorrow. Not the “Big Three” yet, nor a couple others. LaCrosse, Onalaska and Holmen were always the last to close, if they closed at all. LaCrescent and West Salem haven’t called it yet, but they’re about the only ones.
I was trying to set myself up and then one of the dogs insisted on her walk. You’re welcome!
And now for something completely different……
:13:Congratulations to Mrs. Sandlanders! I think this calls for a Major Award!
Congratulations to John and Gail on a truly golden milestone, one that means way more than a bunch of smileys!
Currently they’re saying 8-10 with whiteout conditions. I worry about my son having to travel to and from work, as well as the grandkids on the buses. Ugh. Sometimes the saying “what you don’t know won’t hurt you” has a lot of wisdom going for it.
Folks, we’re facing a grave situation. Wednesday is Senior Day at ShopKo AND Hancock Fabrics. I have been holding off getting some needed things for projects at Hancock and now with the 9-13 inches predicted, I might be screwed. Do I just go pay full price today, so I have stuff I can do? *eye roll*
A break from logging. Getting 15 caches in a day is too much for me these days! Especially since prior to yesterday, we’d found 20 for the entire month. And I still have some more photos to “develop.” Trekkin’ is bugging me for those so he can put something on that book of faces. I wish he’d just bring his own camera. I have other things to do!
I don’t know what they’ve settled on for us. A bunch of snow. It keeps changing.
It was gorgeous where we were…blue skies, mild temps. We almost doubled our cache finds for the month in just this one day, tromping all over the woods in Washburn County!
