Thanks Ken, the video was a welcome diversion from my “walk the mall in my God-awful brace” routine. — just a few more weeks to go. 😀
RIP WK
VOICE OF EXPERIENCE:
Go to court if you can get points reduced to 2. This may mean a higher fine, but the 3rd point can put you on an alert list that insurance companies scan for risk. Your name on that list may mean increased premiums for up to 5 years.
if the ticket stipulates 2 points to begin with, pay the fine and forget it.
Brian…
Your services have been greatly appreciated by all of us. Thank you for a job well done.

At one time, Groundspeak had given clear definitions of each of the terrain ratings: 1= wheelchair or stroller accessible; 5 = requires special equipment, or skill; yada, yada. I cannot locate those definitions now. But that doesn’t change how I would rate terrain. If terrain challenges a wheelchair bound geocacher, it should be rated 1.5 or higher.
Trudy & I spent several months seeking out Terrain 1 caches and found that many are inappropriately rated. All too often, the error is not evident until you arrive at the scene. This is very disappointing to those of us with physical limitations.
We want to express our gratitude for the sentiments posted here, in personal memos and in person by all of you.
The surgery was done as scheduled on the 20th and I was able to go home on Friday the 23. I dropped the walker on Saturday and started walking with a cane. I am now walking 1-2 miles a day. Yesterday, while walking the mall at Bayshore, Santa offered me a job taking some of his hours. Would you believe there is a shortage of Santas? My surgeon is very pleased with how rapidly my recovery is going, but insists I not return to work for 12 weeks. Sorry Santa. But, I don’t see why we can’t get a few geocaches in before then.
We will be back on the trails very soon with a much improved beast. 😀
After 44 years, I think I am going to stick with the one I have. I am sure there are a lot of wonderful ladies out there, but I am not going to take the chance of losing the one I have.
The beast was flying solo here today. There was a good crowd, perhaps 100 or more. I met the5xplorers as I arrived, and later uplifting dragon. Vince was there in his usual great spirits and it was good to finally meet Jim Hyatt. There will be nothing added to our cache counts for this effort, but that isn’t why I went. It was just a great opportunity to meet so many newbies that really want to know more about the sport.
Thanks, Jim, Vince and Audubon for a nice little escape. ~tb
Take a look here GCVJCF Johnny has logged his find [11/20/06] 35 days after the cachemeister has disabled the cache because it was MIA/
Straight from Trudy…
Tomah is about 20 miles north and has a variety of accommodations. They sound like fun, until you try to chase one down. [voice of experience] They are not for me. ~tb
Today I did a quick maintenance check of Something Different and Something Different – Two. I found that neither cache log had any entry for Johnny Spirit. I deleted his entries for each of these on gc.com as well. Of the 5 logged caches owned by T&tb, he has shown no evidence of actually visiting any one of them.
Of the three previously deleted finds, Johnny was notified of the deletions 8/8 and he has not complained, whimpered, sighed or contested the action in any way. I take that as a defacto admission of guilt.

Furthermore, I’d like to see this matter be voted upon by the BOD as a whole…The matter was voted on by the BOD as a whole, At the time the bylaws were adopted. If I recall correctly, it passed by a vote of 9-0.
Where are we getting the phone numbers from? 😯
