Our August 2007 trek takes us through the UP on the 4th. We will be spending Friday night in M&M and by the time you sleepy heads assemble, we hope to be in Sudbury, Ont. We have a lot of miles ahead this year , so as much as we would like to stop and chat, we need to express our sincere regrets. 😥

The second cacher has now moved the jeeps. 😀
Now if the cacher with 611 finds and 4 jeeps in his pocket will…The problem here is that there are cachers who are hording them. I know of two active cachers that have found 600+ and 1100+ caches each, 16 and 23 jeeps respectively and hold 4 and 2 in their personal inventory. 5 of the six jeeps have been held for over a year and the 6th has been held since August.
That is only two cachers that I know of, I am sure there are many, many more. Turn the jeeps loose guys.
Folks,
It’s our game. All are welcome to play by the same rules. Don’t let others p… on our campfire, add more fuel and watch them really start to burn.
This argument has been going on for six years now, and I see no resolution. So, let them rant. Keep on doing what your are comfortable with and enjoy the game. ~tb
I believe that if I were in your shoes Lee, I would politely decline with the statement that you would like to be better acquainted first. One must not be indiscriminate in choosing one’s friends. ~tb
You may be plagued by a clandestine collector. You can decrease the value of your coins to such a collector if they are not perfect. Some cachers have taken to drilling a hole in the coin and attaching a mission card. This may keep your coin moving for quite a while longer. ~tb
I must agree with you Tie, it is imperitive to stay physically fit. Yesterday found us on a similar mission at Enjoy the View – Two (GCFB12). After replacing the Cache, We sat on a nearby bench to “Enjoy the view” Trudy looked away from the lake long enough to notice that I was suffering from some heart palpitations due to the activity. Not from the physical activity, but from the view itself. I had been enjoying the view – three shapely young bikini clad sun bathers lie no more than 50 yards away. Trudy snatched my glasses and I had to chase her up that hill to get them back. ~tb

The person who might know who to talk to about this is green & gold. He teaches near Milwaukee and I’m pretty sure he has had caches on school owned property.
GR8 EYES is an MPS teacher as well
There have been caches in Hawthorne Woods and in Potters Woods in the past. Both are MPS property and neither is near (500 feet) any MPS school.
Trudy & I had made attempt to get through the multiple levels of bureaucracy at MPS to ferret out policy or guidance without much luck. After a couple of visits and speaking to almost a dozen people, We were able to come up with the name Kevin Reed and phone 647-6067. He was supposedly The Director of MPS Outdoor Recreation. We attempted to contact him only to find that he was on vacation. We finally gave up and went on to other pursuits. This all took place two-four years ago, I don’t recall. ~tb
I Log them, but I don’t use my real name 😆

Ours will be the same as last year: To add 500 caches, 5 states and 5 Wisconsin counties.
Milwaukee County’s Oak Leaf Trail – 100 mile circuit with caches all over it.
