We have use a Lexan plastic (clear) equipment box at Bird on a wire – St Louis(GCGXD4) in Doctor’s Park. Better than an ammobox. We bought it at Gander Mountain. It was a bit pricy.

We had the opportunity to meet Geogil and Dairy on several occasions. This gentle creature will be missed. As I recall she would be about 5 years old. I am sure that Geogil is suffering a great heartbreak. This companion meant the world to him. ~tb
Start with PERMISSION and you can avoid this sort of thing. Follow the guidelines and you can stay out of the evening news. ~tb
Welcome aboard, my friend. We are pleased to have you among us. Perhaps our trails will cross an an event.

Big Kudos, Alan.
This is a great achievement!
~tbDoes not sound reliable for a few reasons.
1.The video recorder sounds a bit expensive.
2.a battery burried spells battery problems.
3.ammo boxes have have plenty of room to hold a small battery.
4.local authorities tend to react to this sort of thing by blowing-up the container, not by disassembling it.
5.what would the purpose of this thing be, the note inside suggests it was intended to be opened safely.I think the story is more suspect than the container.

They seem to have the same features and the 60 is lighter and slightly smaller, so what are you getting for the extra $50? I’m currently using a little Garmin Etrex Yellow, so either of these would be quite a bit bigger, but I suspect that between the new technology and a better internal antenna, they would get significantly better reception in heavy cover.
The 76 has a slightly larger screen and it floats.
BTW I think you will find that little yellow ETrex’s have found a lot more caches than either the 60 or the 76.

OK, do you need to register at the beginning of each calendar year, or do you register on your membership “anniversary”?
You may do either. I don’t remember what our anniversary date is so I chose the first of the year. I guess April 15th would also be an easy date to remember. In fact, you may not want to wait a full year; why not renew every 8 or 10 months. It doesn’t make much sense other than insuring that your membership will be current.
~tbPredictions are coming too! Look for them in Mid January, I think that’s when I normally do that.
For Now, it’s time to:
1. update the resume
2. renew WGA membership
3. kiss the wife~tb
Welcome aboard Roger.

It looks like you are going to make a big splash here!
