One of our favorite Holiday memories is Jingle Bell Rock (GCB1BC). The activity on Dec.15, 2002 was a jaw dropper.
Did they get the robot to sign the cache log? β
Is this the cache? GC1EG0A
We gave it a go, but cannot push our calendar that fast. It looks like we will be reaching 3K between Thanksgiving & Christmas. We will be with you in spirit, send back some good stories. T&tb
Wow, what a touchy situation. It is difficult to say who is right. The inflammatory rhetoric makes it more difficult for the reader to form a good objective opinion. I am happy I am not involved and displeased that the situation exists. I am sure that there are a lot of innocent people being hurt, including many who may just be passing through town (geocachers).
There is nothing more fun than caching on a bright sunny winter day. Following the footprints in the snow and leaving a distracting trail for cachers following. Making snow angels, too. Group caching in the winter can really add a lot. Ya gotta try it, at least once.

As I understand it, these caches are temporary, put out during the summer months and are not listed. I sent an e-mail to the Inn’s manager this morning requesting additional details.
I received a response from the Mgr and he confirmed that these caches are not published and that they are in place for a limited time during “the season.” He was pleased that we were interested in their promotion. He did not provide any more detail than we already have.
BTW, when we checked in Saturday, we both looked to the balcony for familiar faces.. there were none.

$2.25 in Green Bay this morning. Can we make it under two dollars??
Here it is – Mobil, 108th & Oklahoma (West Allis), $2.00/gal at 9:00 Thursday night – $.15/gallon rebate is $1.85 and prices are still dropping. π
This is tempting… It might make a great event for our 3K, but we would need to hammer out about 90 caches in the interim. Hmmm…
I seem to recall that the DNR will do this to control overgrowth. I don’t recall any more than that.
We filled the tank yesterday at 2.28 but saved even more by using our Mobil Platinum card and taking a $.15/gallon rebate. We had been getting a 5% on our discover, but couldn’t pass up the Mobil deal. BP has an introductory rebate program offering a 10% rebate that reverts to 2% after 90 days. As long as I keep paying the balance I can avoid their 19.9% interest rates.

I’ve read many references to “nude geocaching”, but only recently found out that it’s actually the same as “Dry” caching. No GPS.
Oops, been doing that wrong… π³
