The bathtub is empty Steve, there is no bar of soap there. We know how you feel and loved both analogies. I think some NFs are inevitable. I can recall standing in an open area under a clear Indiana sky with fresh batteries in the GPSr and watching the needle swing this way and that as the digital distance went through a list of random numbers suitable for filling out a lottery card. Then there are days we have had rock solid fixes on THE location and came up empty … rather humbling. kaka occurs.
It won’t happen. The beast doesn’t cook his food.

OK, Today Grouse Tails is admitting a 200th find. If they repeat every find, this would be their 400th. In any case they are only admitting 200 today. Congratulations B,B,D & N. Kudos, accolades and all our best.
tbNow that we have completed a score of these, I can offer these observations. The series is a very worthy challenge. To be able to complete the series in less than a week is an admirable accomplishment. Trudy and I will do well to complete the series before the end of the month.
The adventure is in the hunt. Each hunt has taken us to a new park and offered new challenges. Some have added new brusies, cuts, scratches, abbrasions and bites. Some are very easy to find and some have been very difficult. Several have been kid friendly and some dog friendly… yuck!
On the whole, I stand by my initial recommendation. I am not dissapointed, but rather surprised at the level of quality that Socko has built into these caches. I enjoy seeing the kind of growth brought to our sport by State of Mind, RPaske’s Mother Goose and The Lil Otter’s 52-Pickup. Keep them coming.
tbIt is always great to welcome newcomers. Respond by posting a note now at: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?ID=75358
and join all the local geocachers for a great 4th. Germantown is just down the raod a piece from Cedarburg.
You just missed our monthly Metro Milwaukee Breakfast: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?ID=73045
Try to get to our next one and bring a friend.Wisconsin has a very active geocaching community and we are pleased that you are now among us.
tbHey, Milwaukee aint no fly-over country. Stop and spend a few days. All our caches are great! Check with Genius Loci, Spyder User, Greenback, and geogeek65.. All Illinois cachers who did just that to log 75+ Milwaukee area caches..
If you want to make your trip short and sweet, please check our recommended caches thread on these boards or Cache of the month here as well.

Kudos, Accolades, Great Standing Ovation and cheers. Badlatitude will confirm that we had predicted a Folk Trakers victory, but we hadn’t considered the potential of Team LotsaCache. They completely surprised all of us. Both teams deserve special recognition and praise. This hasn’t been an easy task, so we don’t mind saying we tip our hats to you. Now go get some sleep.
Been there. Never cached there. My impression of Vermont is that it is a wonderful state that is wasted on New Englanders. It should be in the midwest. Can we trade Minnesota for it? Both are on US Hwy 2.
Did you have the opportunity to meet any of the Vermont [Green Mountain] geocachers?
Actually, I am a bit envious of you for having the opportunity to visit The gem of New England.
What is this thing of a line of sugar maple ducks in the trees?

Yes, but how would I ever even come close to spelling it in my notebook?
Abbreviate it IAAD.
Very well done. Should be on your to do list.
Thank you. The acknowledgement gives us warm feelings, Trudy is getting misty. The number doesn’t mean as much to us as our encounters along the way. If the next 400 will bring as many new friends of the quality the last 400 brought us then we cannot complete them too soon.
We took on 10 of them today. They are well done, most are family friendly. Good work Socko!
