Trudy & I have been there also. I don’t believe that the cache is that conspicuous. It can only be approached through about 50-75 feet of bushwacking and the view was totally obscured to the north. From the other sides, there is quita a bit of brush between it and any passable trails.
I believe this hunter came upon cachers in pursuit and then decided to go back and take a look himself on the following day. In any case, I don’t feel that the placement of this cache justifies a neanderthal abduction.
The cold temperatures will help to preserve the film in the camera but it can make it stiff and more difficult to advance. Plastic parts should be OK but condensation on metal parts may lead to corrosion. If the camera is kept in a moisture proof container, the camera should be fine.
Kodak provides a help line at 1-800-242-2424. I am sure other manufacturers do as well.

Steve,
An appology is in order… I just noticed I misspelled your name.
I guess I have had too much grog and gruel.
the beastA great time was had by all!
I was particularly impressed with the way these flatlanders welcomed a accepted these cheeseheads among themselves. They even withheld any Packer bashing on the eve of another Packer/Bear meeting.
Trudy & I would have been greatly outnumbered.
If they do this event again, Trudy & I will be there.
Please check the cache page for logs and photos. The troops and Yawningdog have now tipped the scales for the junior cachers. The must be working under the illusion that this is not the grandparents cache.

No secret initiation, but you will pay a ton in dues to get there.
And, it ain’t yo Mama’s tupperware either![This message has been edited by Trudy & the beast (edited 11-25-2002).]
Welcome Flushing Grouse!
Now we also expect your participation in the unannounced yet upcoming 2003 WGA Geopicnic. That will give us all an opportunity to meet you eyeball to eyeball and exchange trail yarns. It is great to have you aboard.Cacheseekers
We too had thought about placing a cache on Tivoli. I found the park while I was doing some sales work during the 80’s and was intrigued with it then. I didn’t have my Garmin 12 with me at the time, so it went unposted for a while [13-14years]. When The Troops placed this cache, I sent them an e-mail to this effect. The good news is that there is still room to place another cache there. I would suggest that you try to keep it at least 200 feet from the first. I would also make reference to the first cache in the cache page when you post it.We [T&TB] have been working on it, assembling ideas, materials, etc. Some parts are in place but don’t look for any postings before spring. The objective has become to create a multicache with an overall difficulty level of 4/1 to 5/2. Wh want to be able to keep some family involvement.
To the thief:
This is a particularly disgusting event. The cowardly b******(s) responsible can’t know the disappointment a failed hunt, or a lost investment in a loves’ labor can bring. For the momentary satisfaction or laugh that this may have brought your sick ego, may you suffer a lifetime of regrets and guilt. To the rest of our community:
Trudy & I share your sympathy to Socko et al. I think we are strong enough to rise above this. Cache on.[This message has been edited by Trudy & the beast (edited 11-11-2002).]

Hwy 42 Rest Stop, Door County. We have seen this one a couple of times. It is a good spot for a picnic.
Vert can mean virtue as virtual. As they have additional virtues in that one can place them where ever one finds something of interest on the road. Trudy & I set one up in Ohio while on a visit. Locals overlook some of the most interesting features in their own backyards. We need not worry about maintaining this cache 550 miles from our home. Another virtue is that they are not prone to theft or plundering.
To make a long story short, I believe that each type of cache has its own merits.
Keep on Caching,
