LOL 😆
OK nevermind. I just got the e-mail from Admin Tie stating that the cache was retracted. I guess I’ll have to wait to log it until the owner moves the cache to a proper location.
Hey, if I go back and find it after it gets moved, does it count as an additional find? 😉
I will definitly buy one from you at the picnic. Do you have any pics of them I could see?
Sorry, I swear I put this in the Help thread. Please move this if necessary.
Thanks Dave. I was going about it all wrong… Typing in Slither, SSlither, SSSlither and so on. DOH!! 😳

I have a personal coin that I log into every cache I find, physical or virtual. I feel it falls under the “It’s not affecting anyone, except those that seem to be continually unbunching their undies.”
Although I only log it into caches I’ve actually found.
Could not have said it better myself! 😆 [/img]
I’d like to thank you, as well as Cheese-Wis for cleaning up a couple of local caches. Thank you!
I had contacted both owners of the caches several times, I believe I even offered to adopt one. Both said they would be out very soon to repair or replace thier caches, but neither did after as much as 9 months! Now both caches are archived and the areas are open to place new ones.
BTW both spots are prime cache spots. One in particualr I’m planning on snatching after the WGA this weekend.
Excelent, thanks for the replies. See you all there.

I guess one nice feature would be to sort the search results further by state.
This feature has been requested more than once, but it continues to fall on deaf ears at Groundspeak. *sigh*
Yeah, and how about not having to get the spelling EXACTLY correct in a search?!?!? I’m admitedly one of the worlds worst spellers, and get frustrated when I have to figure out exact spellings.
For instance There is a cache in Milwaukee called SSSSSSlither to the Totem Pole. I’m suposed to know how many S’s are there? I still don’t.
Sorry, I got a little off topic. Guess I should put this in the suggestion box huh?
I agree with the others here. Give the TB it’s miles by logging it in. If we start taking this sport to seriously, it just won’t be fun anymore. I sometimes wish that all the stats of individual cahers/teams would only be visible to the cachers/teams themselves for tracking purposes. Then, none of this would matter, nor would any of the other issues that seem to pop up.
Have fun and enjoy, to me this is what it’s all about! 😀
Vinegar does sound like it would work too, but I’m all out of containers to experiment with for now. I’m going to have to get Tyedyeskykid to eat up some more PB, and Tyedyeskygal to start pounding the coffee!
It appears that all the above ideas work well. The coffee smell was completly removed by charcoal and newsprint. The smokey smell left behind by the charcoal is gone today. Baking soda is doing it’s job but seems to be taking the longest.
It counts as a bonus yes, but you still need to find #8! 😈 😉
OK, here are the results so far.
The color newsprint worked like a charm! I’m really surprised. I didn’t expect it too.
The charcoal seems to have worked as well, but left a bit of smokey scent behind.
And Baking soda worked well too. I can’t believ I didn’t think of that one myself. Uhm… We keep a box in the fridge for just this purpose. LOL
Have not had a chance to try the kitty litter yet.
Todays update.
First Place: brkster With 9!
Second place: Norwegianbird, Missyja007 and Freespace 69, all with 8
Third Place: DadsGPS and Draconis both with 6

I’ve never tried a coffee can. (Although from some caches I’ve found, the plastic Folgers coffee containers seem to hold up in Outdoorland about as well as Gladware…)
I think I’ll toss the coffe can after the experiment. I would prefer my cache be better protected then Gladware! Thanks for the info Dave.
