MemberSerious jet lag! From December!
Took it outside let it sit till the bats were just about dead, maybe 90 mins. Nothing. Coords seem accurate, just the map displays Utah.
Think its time to upgrade to a new garmin. Any Garmins have bluetooth yet?

MemberTried removing the SD as well. Looks like the only thing thats stuck is the map. Coords seem to be acurate to this area, compass works, all the display pages seem right, just the map stays over Utah.
Sorry Gary, been one thing after another. This will be the third time I’ve replaced that final. Gonna chain it to a tree this time. 😉

MemberWelcome to grocaching and to the WGA!
Dood county is a great place to cache. I’m a bit biased because my fam is from Sturgeon Bay, but still, the door is my fav area of the state.
My best advice caching with young children, is to keep them interested, by finding caches such as ammo cans. These usually contain items for the kids to trade, and are generally easier finds. Small children may lose interest when seeking micros. But if your children are like my son, they may find those the most interesting.
Have fun with caching!

MemberI voted no, not because I don’t like the idea, because I do. I think it’s a great idea. I just personally wouldn’t buy one for myself. But now reading through the posts, I’m thinking too, that it would be great swag. So one vote for no, is now a vote for yes.

In the grand scheme of things, this is minor, but WTMJ 4 news just reported that the new estimate for capitol damage repair is $350,000. Still quite a bit, but a far cry from the $7.5 million estimate from yesterday. Just sayin’…
That’s the cost for gov workers to fix it. I’d do it for half that. 😀

MemberLets all remember that this isn’t just about the teachers of Wisconsin, it involves our law enforcement, firefighters…
And lets too remember, that unions can be a good thing, and a bad thing, just like government politics. There is no easy solution to our deficit here in WI or the nation, but forcing bills without negotiation isn’t right even if the bill has merit. This is a free country last time I checked.
I do my best not to follow politics anymore, but I don’t see how taking away bargaining rights is going to save the state any money. Give the gov workers what they’re asking for. Make them pay the proposed increases but leave them their rights Mr. Walker. That way you get the money savings you’re looking for, they get the right to negotiate down the road, and if you negotiate well Mr. Walker, nothing will change. But they’ll still have the rights they want, even if they do them no good. There, everyones happy. 😆

MemberMy opinion doesn’t count, for two reasons. Mr. walker, whom I voted for regrettably, doesn’t particularly care about the general public opinions. he needs to return the favors of the folks that got him elected. And two, this bill will not effect me in any way.
However, I do have an opinion. I pay out the a** for my insurance. It went up 300% in 2010, and another 25% this year. I buy my insurance from the state, because my employer offers none.
That being said, we all pay a lot for our benefits, and the people who work for the gov should be no different. THE PROBLEM IS: These workers don’t seem to care if they have to pay more, they just want to keep their rights to negotiate. My sister is a teacher here in K-town, and there is resounding agreement to my statement. My brother in law is a police officer, one whom helped Mr. Walker get elected, ans so did his union, but his fellow officers also agree that taking bargaining rights away is just wrong. They are all willing to pay, just let them keep their rights.

MemberI was able to put my office 2007 disc in my tower, and acess it from my netbook via wireless to istall outlook. So yes, now I have outlook on both the netbook and PC. It’s a Roadrunner POP3 server. So, if I have both computers running, whichever one runs the auto send/receive first gets the email. Once that email is on one of the comps, it can’t be accessed with the other comp.
What I find odd, is that I can run programs such as Word, excell, photoshop thru my wireless, on my netbook, pretty much anything thats on my tower, except outlook. Odd that outlook is the only program I can’t access via wireless. Hence having to install it on the netbook.

MemberThanks Astro D! Dunno why I didn’t think of that. Added the Netbook to the network, but never thought of giving it access to the DVD drive!

MemberTo clarify, I have office on both my PC and my netbook, I just dont have outlook on the netbook. I’d like to have acess to my outlook (roadrunner email) on both because it’s been my primary email for years.
So far, what I’ve used of office works great on the netbook.
