I’ll get this started by staying very local.
If you are visiting Kenosha and planning to stay a while. Consider Franks Diner. By far the best greasy spoon and breakfast spot I’ve ever been to. Franks Diner is a historic landmark and has been in business for over 80 years. Franks is located at 508-58th Street or N 42° 35.002 W 87° 49.051
If you are just passing through Kenosha on I94 check out The Brat Stop Good food, live entertainment, and great prices. Lot’s of celebrities have passed through these doors over the years. The most recent was Hillary Clinton. Hope that doesn’t scare some of you away! 😀 The Brat stop is located at the intersection of I-94 and Hwy 50 or N42° 34.079 W 87° 57.377
If you’re in Kenosha, and looking for a fine dining experience, there are several places to choose from. Chops on the Lake is my favorite. Chops is located on the Kenosha Lake Front at 5722-3rd Avenue or N 42° 35.032 W 87° 48.884
Lastly, if your out caching on our fantastic lake front and have the kiddies along, a fun place for them would be Trolley Dogs Best hot dog place around and fantastic prices. If you stop here, take the kids on a trolley car ride for just 25¢ Trolley Dogs is located at 5501-6th Ave or N 42° 35.148 W 87° 49.114
If it’s coffee you’re looking for, then The Daily Dose will surely help you get your fix. It’s located at 6010-40th Ave or N 42° 34.846 W 87° 51.413 If you’re up early enough on Thursday mornings, you can meet up with a group of local cachers that meet at 6:30AM every week. We stay until we leave.
Places to AVOID:
Marina Gardens was a great place for a long time, but has gone way down hill.
Maraz has had more than one visit from the health department and we’ll leave it at that.
