Yes, but who reads the cache page? Not saying I don’t, because that’s one of my favorite parts, but many, many, many people don’t read them. I’d go as far as to say that most people don’t.
This is from my own experience with my own caches of course.

Tye’s made some trades and is better off than before. But, my team still sucks in comparison.

I’ve come across many caches in the past where there have been bee hives in the same tree there was a cache, or at least one in a close vicinity, and no one had mentioned it in their logs. I really wish more people would take the time to post a warning when they see these things. It could save a life. Then again, some people might be happy if the Riddler fell. 😉

The benchmark thing is obviously not an exact science. We’ve found about a dozen that can’t be logged/found on the site.
Another problem is like the one I found in the middle of Bong State Park. It’s been so long I can’t remember the details, but when I looked up the marker and claimed it, all looked fine. But I go back now to view it, and the map puts it nowhere near Bong. It puts it in Burlington near a RR track.
