Here it is in all white.
maybe a list of what is needed is required as well. Does the campout committee have one for us?

Okay, first I apologize for derailing the thread with a bit of humor. You made a nice design Tyedyskeguy, and obviously that’s been overshadowed.
Second, I don’t see the second design as being at all productive, being antagonistic and having no real chance of being adopted and thus derailing the thread further. There is a current thread that is covering this topic extremely well.
Yeah, but Berry’s post is funny as h*** and so was yours. Withou humor, why bother? 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆
I’m not sure that either can be considered a sink hole. The first pic of the damn appears to be an overflow to take on water during a flood.
The second just seems to be a mine, nothing more. And, I would bet I could fly a kite over and not get it sucked in. 😀

Anyway, I dont think our WI reviewers are out to get you,

For the record, I don’t think the reviewers are out to get me. They’re doing what they are supposed to be doing. My gripe is with Groundspeak. And, it’s not really a gripe. I’m just looking for clarification.

I have no way of knowing how they determine which commercial caches are acceptable and which are not, but we do NOT archive caches when they come in with commercial content. We always DISABLE them and instruct the owner to get permission so that we can complete the review.
Mine was and still is archived. Link

i don’t really know how to put it on the page
Just copy and paste the following into your cache description. You will also need to check the box marked “The descriptions below are in HTML”.

(click to visit our
website)ZUMA!, I finally see why you have groupies. What you wrote was very well thought out, and I hope it inspires folks.
My first two events I attended I logged multiple finds because I asked the question whether or not I was supposed to. The answer was, go ahead. So we did.
Shortly after that second event which I believe was the 2006 WGA picnic, this topic came up here in the threads. I was surprised at that time to see the opposition to posting multiple logs after being told it was perfectly ok to do so.
From then on, I decided not to log them anymore. Still now, I don’t have any problem with people logging these finds if they like. It’s their game, and it affects me in no way.
I’ve also seen folks that have logged these finds in the past, go back and actually delete these logs. Good for them if it makes them feel better. For me, I’m leaving those 20-some multiple finds as a reminder of how things were. It’s a reminder to myself and to anyone who wants to read my stats that this is an acceptable practice, and that it is up to the individual, not the cache police.
However, until I read your post Ralph, I never knew that Groundspeak had made a change in the past to prevent people from making multiple logs. I believe now, that if this is their intent, then we should abide by it. But I’m not going to police it for sure.
To those 15 whom Ralph spoke of, I understand the draw of the big numbers game. If that’s what keeps you caching then good for you. I’m not going to ask you to stop. But Groundspeak or the WGA just might. Please don’t take it personally. We’ll all still look up to you. 😉
My vote is No, does that make me a groupie now too? 😆
OK, here is a clearer and larger version.
I’m also thinking we could save money by doing the WGA logo part in white like the rest of the design. It would require only one screen print, so it would be far cheaper.

What about WGA stickers that you put on the outside of the cache containers, rather than the standard Geocaching.com ones?
Excellent idea as long as they are heavily cammo’d. 😀
Sorry the image is so grainy. I’ll re-do it when I have some time and post a better image. It reads “The 2008 WGA Campout You’re With Friends!” with the WGA logo at the bottom.
We also found out about the WGA site from clicking one of the links on a cache page. It surprises me how few people put these links in.
Time for a poll.

I try to post that little WGA sign on my new caches. How to do that, can be found “HERE” or click on the WGA menu to the left, under Wiki.
The only thing I found frustrating is that when I put it into existing cache pages, it shifts all the test to a left justification. I am not sure if including it as a comment to the approver, on a new cache submission, to put it in “such & such” a place on your cache page, if the approver can change the page setup so things don’t shift. Maybe they can fix that issue on existing cache pages too……I just never asked 😳
Anne,
You can center the WGA logo by simply adding the following at the very beginning of the supplied HTML. Just add “” without the quotes.
So, now I have to ask this question. My Great Aunt passed this weekend, and I’m thinking of making a memorial cache.
Her gravestone is going to have a bronze flower vase built into it, that is removable. You know, the ones that showed up in the news recently because they were being stolen to recycle. I’m trying to think of a way to attach a small micro to this vase so that it won’t be in the way for myself and family members when we want to use the vase. If this works out, I may place more because all of my family buried in this cemetery, have this style of marker.
My question is, is a cache like this acceptable? My family thinks it’s a great idea, so permission from us is not an issue. But, will it be an issue with GC.com? And do I need permission from the cemetery?
BTW I won’t be placing this cache until fall or next spring for obvious reasons.
I think these cemetery caches are just fine, even the multi’s. I don’t however, think that these multi-caches should be hunted on Sunday’s or holidays for the simple reason that that is when most relatives and friends visit these places.
I’d hate for someone to have to explain themselves to a grieving family member. They are out there grieving, while you are having fun playing a game. Just doesn’t sit right with me and may not with them either.
Doing a single stage cache would probably draw no attention at all.
