Would have been nice, but plans changed over this past weekend. Heading to Door county. Again. Well. at least I don’t have to make the 7.5 hour drive. 🙂

I’m actually thinking of using both … I’d rather not have exploding condums in my caches either.
LMAO! Thanks for the laugh! 😆
I have this coin as well. And although shiny isn’t really my thing, this coin is one of my fav’s.
Looks awesome! Thanks for putting forth the effort. I can’t tell ya how many times I’ve found cans of silly string in my caches and others.
Soz ES, I have to agree with LB7. Checked your cache page before I read his response, and it was the first thing I thought of too, and I was clicking back to post almost the same thing. The can image is almost identical to the pics inside a condom package. I mean, I’ve been told that. 😀 It’s a great idea though!!!
Maybe find a smaller condom, er, uhm, shorter can I mean. 😀
Just kidding with you. Please don’t take it personally!!! 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀
Congrats on the big 2K!
Congrats Tom, on both milestones.

Opencaching.us provides a unique set of options for publishing which are a bit different than geocaching.com. They allow you to schedule the publication which I found interesting. This would be really handy for series of caches or anything that is time sensitive (i.e. wanting it to release on a holiday, birthday, etc.)
That’s a nice feature, but only in place becaause they don’t have reviewrs. I could place a cache in the middle lane of I94 and it would be approved. 😀
Congrats on 10k! Amazing!!!
I’ve always thought that offset caches should have their own symbol/cache type.
Tighter rings will help a lot, but also soak them in oil or WD-40 overnight before using them. This will keep the elements out of the rubber much longer. You can also go to a cycle shop and buy synthetic rubber that will last much longer in the elements.
First, welcome to the WGA and to geocaching. Pop in any time you have a question, or just to sit and chat. There are a lot of great people here.
I’m somewhat familiar with Vantage point and it is similar to GSAK, though I use neither at this time. I do know that many, if not the majority of cachers that use this type of software seem to prefer and love GSAK. They both do similar things, so you’ll have to decide which one works best for you.
Have fun with the new hobby, and hope to see you on the trails, or at an event some time.
We’ve done the photo copy of a geocoin in a few of our caches, so that cachers could claim the coin for finding the cache. Funny though, that even the photo copies have disappeared over time. 😕

I looked at a sampling of my caches and didn’t see any “auto” attributes. They all looked like one’s I would have set (or the original owner would have set). That would be rather odd four Groundspeak to automatically apply attributes to caches.
Even better than the P&G attribute is the “not P&G”. I used this one to add some irony/humor to one of my sons caches.
Well, either it was a fluke or someone at GS realized what was going on and remedied it as soon as it was brought to thier attention. Earlier today I opened a few in my Great Story series and they all had a set of new attributes applied, all with “not required” line through them. It was very weird!
But, I see now that everything appears to be normal. So everyone can simply go back to caching…
do not adjust your television set, you are not in control…
They have not yet been removed from Mine! But that may be due to changes I already made. Maybe a sweep goes through, and if the cache attributes have been altered by the owner, they leave their changes alone?
Door county is one of our favorite destinations in Wisconsin. My family originally settled there around 100 years ago in Sturgeon Bay. A GREAT getaway there is The Chanticleer B&B, if you can get a reservation.
Stop by The Houle House. It’s a Jewelry store now, But my Great Grandfather built it. Very unique stuff there!
