The graphics are not as good as are available on many of the free online mapping resources

Better grafix? I’m in. Where do you find that?

I’m hoping for more awards like “Best DNF attempt”, Longest Unnecessary Bushwhack”, “Best Puzzle cache” “Longest Multi-cache” “Rookie of the Year” “Nickname that makes the least sense” and so on.

I think it’s a fantastic idea! I like the hotel bit too, but no black tie please. 8)

Well, Deejay, it sounds no more complicated than the process I have been using with Streets & Trips and several PQs.

So, I’ve deleted GE, and am going back to the old way og doing it.

    Thanks.

Don’t delete it just because that function does not work! There are so many other things GE is good for. Solving one of my puzzles is near impossible without it for instance. 😉

It’s also awesome for planning caching trips, and searching and planning new areas to plant caches.

Awesome Earthcache Lostby7, and the surrounding caches look like a lot of fun too Zuma!! I think I’ll have to plan a camping trip around these. They are over 250 miles from home. 🙁

That’s OK. Any excuse for a camping trip is good with me.

    Thanks tyedyeskyguy!
There is camping at Nugget Lake. In fact my wife camped there many times as a child.

I can’t wait to try this park out! Probably won’t be until spring. 🙁

And what is up with GC.com lately? The link above wouldn’t work for me, and logging into GC.com and navigating there takes forever the past week.

I’ve also noticed that a lot of the geocoin icons wont show up either. They appear as just that annoying little square with the red “x” in it.

I guess every computer is different? Mine still does not show on the menus anywhere.

He sounds like a great friend, and deserves the recognition. Way to be Keith!!!

That is the same version I have. I will have to reinstall later tonight. I checked under tools and I don’t show a go to flight simulator.

I don’t think you can find it in tools. Ctrl+Alt+A worked for me.

The simulator is really difficult to fly if you don’t have a joystick though. The controls are all over the place and respond REALLY slow. Then again, the slow could be my aged computer too. It’s 4 years old and obsolete.

I have never logged my own caches (seems silly) but couldn’t care less how other people log….events, temps, multis I really do not care one iota. So long as you follow the wishes of the cache owner and do not place fake “found it” logs I say have at it.

…now where is that “Beating a Dead Horse” gif?

    here ya go…

If you do change the cache from a mulit to a single, anyone who has done the cache as a multi will loose credit for that multi, and gain a credit for a single stage. I had to consider this very same thing for my cache For Those About to Rock because it was continuously being muggled. I opted to archive it and create a whole new listing. If you weren’t so far from Kenosha, I’d be there for ya. Sorry!

Get GoogleEarth, you’ll never go back to geocaching maps.

You can use it to see exactly where caches are located, and on what terrain. Plan your routes in and out because you can easily see the trails through woods and such.
