I had one of those coins. It traveled 27 miles before it got stolen.

Call Magellan Customer Service. There is a sequence of buttons to push that will make it do a hard re-boot.

The number is 866.737.8604 or 800.707.9971

I’m hoping for an elaoborate design. Something really nice that everyone, not just Wisconsinites would want to collect, trade and enjoy. Something like the 06 Compass Rose would be awesome!!! But of course it would have to be about Wisconsin.

I’ve got to disagree on just one part, and it’s only my opinion. I would very much like an elaborate and therefor, somewhat costly coin.

I’m not a rich man, but I’d pay good money for a good coin, and a lot of others would too I suspect. I think if we made a coin as nice as say, the 2006 Compass Rose, or Christopher Rake’s Sun-catcher translucent coin, everyonewould want one regardless of the cost.

But then almost none of them would ever be released to travel, which is what I though was the point of geocoins. Though elaborate doesn’t have to mean costly. many would think our 2005 was very elaborate, but not very costly.

Elaborate design doesn’t affect minting cost, colors and size do though.

Though I would request that our coin not have such an extreme thickness (granted it was only at one spot) which prevents use of common acrylic holders.

    Good point.

I’d buy one for myself, and one or more to travel, but I’m not sure everyone would be willing to do that.

each topic has to be put in a single category, so you’d have to decide when posting whether the topic was of interest mainly to those in a region or to all WGA members.

I think that would be great.

Whatever the coin is, it should be something special, to reflect how special Wisconsin is. This is a great state we live in, and I’d like everyone in the geocaching community to visualize it when they see our coin. It needs to be as unique and diverse as the state. It should be something every other state would envy.

I think the general forum would have to stay the same. The regional forums would then become secondary and used to post specific “regional” questions and comments.

This I think would work out for anyone, regardless where in the state they lived.

Thank you very much. That was one of the first caches I planted. I never thought it would get much attention because of it’s placement. Boy was I wrong! I’m glad that you enjoyed it. 😀

I just dropped the UT Eagle Peak Green Jeep TB in Wanna Be A Duck if anyone wants it.

If possible, please post a pic of the GPSr. I’d love to see it.

I’d buy several if new ones were minted for Wisconsin.
