    What!
You cancelled a camping trip due to the threat of rain?
You must have lived in Wisconsin long enough to realize that the weather predictors are only right about 20% of the time.
Even if it does rain. You can always put on your raingear and go caching in the area.

I guess it still boils down to what a cache placer should be doing…use common sense and get permission.

    Marc,
This was in regards to a cache hidden int the skirt of a light pole type of cache. The Park Manager is totally fine with caches in the park, just not ones so close to potentially deadly amounts of electricity.

    Rpaske,

Call me today/tonite and we can talk about this. My plans aren’t totally finalized, but they should be by this afternoon. You have my #’s.

I have one that makes about 30 cups that I would be able to bring along. Unless I hear otherwise I will bring it with me.

    What, no moonlight bowling after?

That was a blast last year. If anyone is interested in this, let me know and maybe I can work something out.

My wife, Geocaching Widow, works for Clear Channel, who owns WISN. She knows Jerry Bott, but not Dan Diver.

We are going to be contacting them to see if they are interested in learning more about geocaching.

Thanks Jeff for attaching the audio.

There is a permanent cache not too far from the station. But I would be more than happy to place one nearby for them to find. Of course I would fill it with lots of valuable items.

I will update you all with what we find out.

Yes, it is my sweatshirt. I forgot to grab it when I left. I can get it from you at the next event.

in reply to: New Magellan Contest #1738059

Way to go to everyone who was able to find this cache today. If last year was any indication. The container was in place for at least a couple of days after. So others can still go find it. But there are no consolation prizes left. I grabbed the last one at about 5pm.

Hope that my post about the contest helped get some teams involved that may not have seen it otherwise. Although it probably cost me a FTF.

Have a great rest of the weekend.

Just remember to thank the out of state folks when they provide you with the final bit of information that enables you to be a winner in this contest. Without the out of state folks I would never have been first finder last year for the Milwaukee cache.
