As a 1st year BOD member this past year, I was able to attend the Chili Feed, Campout (committee chair), WBCB, and Picnic as well as host a WGA CITO in Madison.
Our schedule hasn’t been confirmed quite yet (overseas trip), but I would expect to make all but one of those events again this year.

looks like you don’t get to keep the numbers. it no longer shows on your profile, and when you click on the “challenges” tab, it gives the same form letter response with no stats.

Mine just arrived. there’s actually 2 in the package. one is the size of the pathtag and had the tracking number on it, the other is the size of a normal coin, but no tracking number.

I have found about a dozen in caches. I tend to drop a lot of mine in caches as well. I would say of the 100 or so that have been recorded in collections, 40 of them were found in caches – either from me or someone else dropping them.

I would say they can still be doable, but you have to explain how and why they are formed geologically. if you can show how the “rocks” help create the features at each of your sites and make your task related to the geological formation you should be able to get a bit further.

I think I read somewhere that the focus of ECs should be geology (edited to add: It is the Geological Society of America – so I can see why they want the “rocks” to be a focus). Things like waterfalls, etc are no longer accepted unless it shows a specific unique geological feature, not a “type”.

in a nutshell, they want you to “talk rocks” and most hydrological features won’t count.
