    I can load the map.

Our plans have changed, we are no longer going to make this trip. Ice or no ice have fun for all who are going.

I have read through this thread, I don’t know really how I want to respond. I work for this city and have to live in this city. If you look at the cache map you will see a large void on the near north side and north side of Milwaukee. There are wonderful parks that I have located where I feel that the view or park is a wonderful place. One such park is in the Riverwest area. It is Resivor Park. The park is above the neighborhood and has a breath taking view of downtown and towards the lakefront. This park is one block from where five poeple were shot last night. Many areas of the city are great during the day and change dramaticly at night. I have thought about placing caches in a park and then saying that this cache should be searched during daylight hours only, but I felt that this would offend some people. I also would feel terrible if someone were to search for these caches and have something happen to them. There are some caches that I would not go near in this city because of their placement. Am I fearful of these areas, no not for me or my wife, but for other cachers who don’t know the area may not really know what is lurking.

Edit to add: Crime can happen anywhere. All I ask is that no matter where you are always keep an eye open.

Motorola Droid here. I have two apps downloaded. One is Geobeagle and the other is GCDroid. Both are free but I have not really had the chance to use them. I know that Geobeagle can download from GC.com I don’t know about GCDroid. I have heard that Groundspeak is working on an app for the Android operating system but I don’t know how far along the process is.

There are several apps for the Blackberrys also.

in reply to: WGA Cafe Press Store #1919818

It would be nice if there was a way to change away from Cafepress inorder to make some money for the WGA. Either way, thank you Jeremy for posting the link for the new logo. I will wait till after the board meeting to see if there might be another vendor.

Now I am really glad that I brought this up. Thanks for the quick replies from everyone and the current board members and possible future ones.

Now that I think about it, there was a place just outside of Bayfield that rented small, but roomy cabins and wasn’t to much. Nice pizza place/bar right next to it. Spent the Valentines weekend end there 6 or so years ago. We went to the caves that year too.

Ok, I just googled “place just outside of Bayfield” that did not return much. Any better info. 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆

So where would be the optimal hotel to stay at……are we in bayfield, washburn or somewhere else.

From the sounds of it, anyplace that has a bar. There were a few places mentioned a few pages back.

Well a bar is useful, but we would like to be amongst some caching friends.

As much as I would like to make this one, it’s still to far away to say for sure. The pictures are amazing.

The bar just might make the deal for us….. 😆
