Very nice! I think this will attract more people as well. This is a lot more up to date in that we will probably be able to track particular forums etc ,,, this will be more like the forums I know elsewhere.
I kinda like the ‘clean’ basic look ,,, maybe make a poll for that?
Good job, can’t wait to see that online.
I wanna see! mememe (lol)
Anyone have a screen shot they can show off?
Great to hear success stories!
pcfrog, yea, finding the exact person is a challenge … I’ve asked many questions to the DNR, and its a very slow turn-around by the time you wait for it to sift to the right person, and then for them to be at there desk can be another long wait. Just lately I asked about fishing yo-yos, if they are legal or not, what are they considered … trot lines or?
Still no answer … and he was suppose to be back in the office on the 27th … hmmm.
(a yoyo is a automatic fishing device, pretty slick for cats, you can see them on ebay … search for ” Yo Yo AUTOMATIC MECHANICAL FISHING ” I’ve read some articles on them and think it would fun to try.)Ever see the show Malcolm in the middle? There are plenty of those type of misfits out there … anything to get someone upset. Yes, that is lame. Although I’ve come upon caches that people have not re-covered very well, so I think a little of the blame can lay there. I always try to re-cover the cache better than I found it. Once I had to walk in some sand near the cache, on the way out, I even took a branch from the ground and sifted my shoe prints out of the sand and threw some leaves over the ground to make it look fresh. People need to rehide better.
Well, I hope it’s department wide / state wide. If you’d like to contact the person I got the permit from, here is the page that outlines the land, with his contact info on the very bottom. http://www.ncrs.fs.fed.us/EF/coulee/
The cache page is located here (click here)
thanks for the tip
I’ll wait longer … im patient for the most part
I recently let my first USA geocoin go into the wild, it was picked up on the 6th, and still in the hands of the picker upper. Etiquette states in the TOS 2 weeks max, it is annoying. To prevent ‘collectors’ from pocketing it, I banged it up, tried to drill a hole in it, but only made a big dimple, taking the collectiveness out of it. Hopfully he will place it soon ,,, I haven’t even contacted him yet, but its starting to try my patience.
