Was in Wausau this past fall with a few cachers, near a pedestrian/bike tunnel searching out a cache while a few of the group went to the facilities at the truck stop. After a 5 minute search, 2 deputies roll up and begin the questioning us. They had reports we were taking the signs apart (?). Run (of Run and Search- not RunandHide) actually was asked to share his identification with the officers. The others walked up and laughed at us. The deputies weren’t any help

Was at Navy Pier in Chicago searching out a cache when the Port Authority rolled up and stopped. I whipped out the cell phone and acted like I was on a call…they just waited. Finally, I “hung up” and the questioning began. We came to an agreement that I should move along. No, we didn’t become Facebook friends either. They scared me.
