Way to go on your first hide. Careful, this caching bug is terminal.

Just did my part to add to the choices.
I personally, just became busy and use the shortcut bookmark to go straight to the forums, skipping the rest of the site. Oops 😯

I just got a notification log of archive on one of the hiders caches that was archived by a Groundspeak Lackey themselves.
The archive log states “The adjacent property owners are being disturbed by this cache and ask that it be removed. The local police are now involved. Sorry, but I have to archive this cache. Thank you for your understanding.”
I suspect that might get this owner to think more about how placements affect the general public?
Not everyone understands this when they first start caching and immediately jump to hiding.
Thinking about this more, I’m leaning towards Cheeto’s statement. Though they may have a disability, it looks like they may have been bitten by the Hiding Bug and it begame an epidemic (which is good) that got out of hand.

I saw attempt at discussion of a new trend and not whining but it could easily go that route. Thanks for your opinion, too.
I have heard this hider has a disability which may have spurred his urban P&Gs. How many of us go out of our way to think of caches the disabled can access? I know I seldom think that way and have only twice published 1T caches.

I believe on one of these (or their sibling caches) I posted in the log how I thought the longevity of these caches were in question due to what you mention B.
One has nice camo completely out of place and a good yard clipping would defeat the placement but on that one I think the CO lives there as he mentioned seeing me that day.
They make me squirrely. 😆

Kim and John- Mercy Me may have been the biggest let down of the fest yet so you didn’t miss much in them (IMHO)
Tonight….TobyMac (and I’ve never seen Mr. McKeehan give a bad show yet.)
CJ- I’ll look for your buddy. but I may have to do something to draw his attention. Stayed tuned to the Oshkosh Northwestern for updates!

As always Sherry, you find a stylish way to do this also. Nice job and a big achievement.
Hopefully Ed or myself will share our photos from our adventure, too.

I remember that one from the winter. Looked like a hard find due to the snow pile …but it wasn’t and was worth of a small smile that cold day.

Here’s to hoping a couple make the Lonley list as they are coming up on their 1 yr anniversary w/o a find.
(I’m sitting patiently on the solves, waiting to make the 1 yr discovery)

I’m a less than experienced paddler and today I was just a little sore at first but never felt we’d over extended ourselves. We had enough strength afterwards to tip a couple and eat a burger at The Underground.
This paddling trip was like riding the Bugline. You may cover some miles but you are getting out every 5 minutes for another caches.
Rich says the distance from the last cache “upriver” is ~1.86 miles. You can contact Marie and Roger if you want his valued opinion.

I agree with CJ. The littler ones are the more creepy. After a few adventures, they get to be like skeeters.
A good checkover after the fun should be sufficient.

Watching this with interest.
