06/07/2011 at 12:56 am in reply to: CodeJunkie and WalkingAdventure Cram in a dual milestone #1948721Thanks guys. It was to be an even bigger event but a DNF reared it’s ugly head but it was still a great day to be out on the water in Paddlin’ Adventure.

Mine also showed up yesterday. Trying to decide on what to do with it besides making it just another trackable. Hopefully there may be 2 more on the way, donated by friends.

My opinion is it should be a “?”.
Not a multi because there are no actual waypoints to input and not a traditional for the reason that you are not giving the actual final coords.
Here are two examples of night caches in the Appleton area:

http://coord.info/GC1BW8DI may be off a little so an email to Deejay or Bec clear things up. They are always helpful.

Sorta related but not really…
I placed a new cache at Hartman Creek for the campout called KFC – Bug Motel. It was not designed to be a “TB Motel”. Actually it is really a Bug Motel. Swag items were all bugs to follow the theme of the container.
I laughed when one of the logs came across that it was devoid of any travel bugs.
Now I get to watch and see how many others complain that it is lacking in travel bugs and if anyone stocks it with travel bugs.
Now back to your regularly scheduled discussion…
Walkingadventure said:”After a busy weekend, this Bug Motel is pretty empty. Thanks -cheeto- for a trip out into the woods. Tick count for me was only 5 today.”

05/10/2011 at 1:17 pm in reply to: What do you do if you find a cache that is … Cache rituals #1948083On many of my caches I had printed up a small laminated token and/or asked that the FTFer do the “FTF dance” with mention in the log. Sadly, few have ever complied.
After finding a difficult cache I have been known to spike the cache in celebration. 😯

Wondered something similar as I saw a Mystery cache symbol but the “?” was Yellow and not Blue.

Finally, some time free and nice weather. Good for you Dave. Have the Trillium started to blossom yet?

Not everyone keeps up to date on all gc changes. I try but some just slip past. Pretty sure I was one that found the cache you spoke of in Puzzleton

I feel your pain as we’ve had a few of us in the area gently contact some of the newbies. Do you think it is more an instance of immature/new cachers?
