Using the supplied link, the land I was looking for wasn’t listed but the Town’s map states part of the conservancy is WI DNR Wetlands.
The Town clerk stated no forms were needed but I don’twant to experience the wrath of the DNR for palcing a micro anywhere it shouldn’t.
Are WI DNR Wetlands separate in some way?

If they changed the coords and moved the cache after you found it , would you delete your find as it’s not where you found it? The past has happened and the future is still out there.
When you get an adoption, there’s posted a note that you are now the owner. As the owner, you are privy to hints, details that aren’t on the cache page.
Cheezehead, that’s why I added my comments about “opinons”. There’s always differing viewpoints and circumstances.
I’ll not talk about this anymore so as to not enflame anything.
Please don’t get offended.

Not sure if there are official rules on finding your own cache but I know I’ve read several posts about it on GC’s forums and generaly consensus is it is not socially acceptable to find your own cache even if adopted.
– That being said- it may not be a lot different than making finds on puzzles without doing the work.
I’ve adopted caches and before I clicked on the “ADOPT” button and made it official, I poured a lot of looking into the GZs to make the find.
Like most things- this is just my opinion which only counts to me. My dog doesn’t even care what I think.
Some do only puzzles, some only do multis, some never touch puzzles, some don’t find caches and only hide them and others just the opposite.
It’s this great diversity that makes the game so much fun.Following the signals from space.
Now that I have dedicated my life to geocaching, I haven’t found any weather I won’t cache in.
The worst I can remember this winter as I walked out onto Little Lake Butte De Morte on the trestle. As I cleared the shoreline, the wind was about 30 miles an hour over the lake and the parka, gloves, snowpants, etc. didn’t keep the weather out.
I did get the find which required me to remove the hat and gloves. It was brutal but I nabbed a difficult find that few had found at that time.

I did thank the reviewer for clarification on why no archiving as the COs are no longer interested in maintenance. I do think it’s worth discussing that with reputable DNF (even if some are from “shore”) it is worth the reviewer to temp. disable it to see if the owner replies and come July or August, someone else can set up a better cache on Coleman Island.
The weather was beatiful and calm when Lacknothing and I paddled out the end of November and well worth the trip even for a DNF.

I think if you set that to music, it’ll be ready for a wide release. Pretty interesting to go back in time and see the “creation” of caching in the state.
