Same here. I do try and audit all the WGA SPS of caches to check for TBs every few months but haivng cachers log their DNF trackables helps a bunch.

Maybe sometime we can get a photograph of all to lay out what we have created over the years.
Hey, I kind of have one of all of the WGA coins: 2005, 2007, 2008, 2010, 2011, 2012, as well as the 2013 Wisconsin-shaped tag. I could take a nicely lit picture of all of the WGA created coins. I’ve never seen, however, the silver limited edition 2005 version. Now if only I had that one I could get a picture of the entire set…

Actually, there is sort of another. In 2006 a geocoin was made to commemorate the 2006 WGA Campout. It was for an event rather than for the WGA as a whole, but it nicely plugs a hole in the timeline. I’ve only seen a picture of that one.
The best I can do is share this snip I took from when Stephanie England was presented her coin in 2014. These special coins are not kept with the general merchandise. (aka the WGA Hauler trailer). It is identical to the 2005 coin but was made bi-colored.

Not that entertaining, though you do have the jester hat.

I like the idea of giving them away on special occasions like say when someone retires.
Just make sure to let the folks on the BOD know when you retire from geocaching, Mister GT, and maybe they’ll consider it…
Too funny. Zing!!!

Oh boy… (eye roll)

Inventory is NOT the special coins just the regular gold 2005.
The limited edition coins are saved for special recognition of those that volunteer their time and efforts over prolonged periods of time. They go to those that have gone above and beyond what is required. I believe our last recipient was Stephanie England in 2015 for all the time she has donated to the WGA by working the merchandise booth.
The awarding of these coins comes from the determination of the BOD.
We would never, ever, ever (unless we were insolvent and nearing disbanding) sell these special coins for monetary gain. These are the Holy Grail items of the WGA’s inventory.
As a side note, we have in our possession an example of all coins and pathtags through our history as keepsakes/mementos. They also will not be sold off as we wish to keep a piece of our history to help tell the tail.

This is where I was leading the conversation. Not an online auction but offered to our members. 🙂
I purchased a 2005 coin last year at the auction. Considering the options of selling them outright at WGA events versus a Silent Auction. I think I paid $25, possibly $30 at the picnic.
Mr GT, the 2011 may be worth a little gas money but don’t try to move the 2012’s. 😐

Wonder what a person would pay for a 2005 or a 2010 coin especially when there are just a few uncirculated ones left?

I’ll be tossing together the agenda and sending this to all BOD. While we encourage more discussion here and throughout the year, it now looks like a 12 hour meeting in a 9 hr time frame.
Awesome stuff and so exciting to hear all these great ideas.

I’d ask what age bracket you would be looking for. Does “Middle Aged” mean 30, 40, 50? Oshkosh and Fondy has young whippersnappers that I am aware of. I know I cache with anyone and all age groups.

Welcome to the Finisher’s Club. Best series I have ever done. Glad RAS and LAS had many adventures along the way.

I’m pulling all the topics together now including what is here in this thread. My guess is Wednesday, no latter than Thursday evening I’ll have it ready.
I also need to pull up our agenda from last year to see What We Did compares to What We Said We Would Do.
Not having to go to Indiana this weekend so that may open up a little more time to spend on this.

Yes they are T&B. Only the webmaster has access.
+ is that few were ever updated. Before the website changed I tried resurrecting them but most were several year old.
– is that old pics from previous events are locked away and not easily accessed.
We have been trying to come up with a different way to store pictures for the members but have not settled on the best way.
Drop box, picasa, google, Flickr and all the other web photo hosting locations are all being considered but we keep running into roadblocks and having someone to lead this. I think we’d all like access for members to share photos. There was a all geocaching social network that was created ( Cache Face ) that I know several members were using to host their photos.
This would be a great thing for someone that posts many photos to help us with.

Is there value in having a repository of puzzle solve info, GSAK presentations, Geo101 presentations? We did use to have these as “stickies” for viewing but most were beyond current and helpful.
