The BODs discussed offering a wall calendar to the membership a few years back. I think it was voted down. The smart phone Directors didn’t use wall calendars, and there were more of them than flip phone users!
Not good or bad; just interesting on how we made decisions occasionally! Majority ruled.
It was more the fact that few people NEED more Wall Calendars as most people have more than they can use and at $10-$12 or more each (it is in the BOD forums), it was not a good choice. Had nothing to do with Smart Phone cachers. POTM sounds good.
Also, we had considered posting WGAers on vacation at places across the Globe and we would share their photo of them wearing their WGA stuff there. No one wished to take this on but maybe that is away to try again.

Sometimes they are just for Discover at events. At mine, I like to have a piece of paper that lists if they are Discover or Trade TBs. It is just up to the event CO to decide how they want to do this.
I agree, I don’t like to assume they are for trade when they are laying around and just grab them. Tossing them in a container like that could be a good way to do it. Since TBs go missing so often, I am just doing Hand Offs to keep the bugs moving.

Vegas Gamblers was active in the WGA from 2006-2013, having posted hundreds of messages in the WGA forums before passing away. http://wi-geocaching.com/forums/user/vegas-gamblers/

I did not know he passed away but knew his wife had. He retired from the PD and drove a Jeep is the last I knew. Avatar was Kermit holding a machine gun, correct?

Hello everyone! My name here and on geocaching.com is I_EmmaGhost (boo!) and I’m excited to get more into the hobby. I love travelling and seeing new places, so I figure this will be a fun hobby to do while I’m on my travels. I only have around 68 finds, but I’m having a lot of fun!
I met some WGA folks at the Donerstag event in Neenah, and I’m excited to join in more fun!
Glad you found your way here.
