Former BOD were given permissions to view the Planner’s Forum. This could be what is causing the issue. I was down to the last few hours of having access as I went through and gave 39 people the access they needed. Just a hunch that this could be the issue.

Somehow, many of us have this working and a few others don’t. I tried my best to get this done. It’s now in the hands of those that hold the Keys.

Chris S. or any other BOD wish to check on the Former BOD roles to see if something is wrong?

I would say they would need 6 months or so. It would be sad to see a “archiving series Monday” note.

Many other states have their State Park series last only a yr maybe 2. This year most of the WGA SPS caches will be 4 years old. I support ending those and hitting the Forests and or trails. Multiple caches in each of make them a further walk, changing up the emphasis. I’ve been mentioning for the last yr or so that this series is beginning to grow long in tooth so time to plan for something new.

So many other options for SPS caches. See the MN series but they change frequently.

I agree it was not a smooth transition. My fault.

The plaque presentation going first threw me off and we forgot the coins and making a bigger deal out of it. In my mind the service plaques were going to go last so when that went first, I whiffed it after reflecting on the last 4 yrs. Broke pace, lost train of thought, all that.

On the plus side I saw several newbies and “seasoned” WGA members that never come to the LCG because they don’t know about it or just don’t play so do not come to that event.

Hopefully, some of these that came for Chili catch the itch and begin playing. We’ll know in the incoming months.

Beccaday, MASKinWI and MTCLIMBR did a great presentation!

I would be up for an Escape Room. Did one in Madison and it was a blast.

              Really? Sounds like fun.

                Unfair advantage. Boo. Hiss.

So glad you are feeling well enough to be wasting time online. BTW we are using Sunshine’s recipe again for chili tomorrow.

14+ hours between posts, and this is still the most hopping thread in the forums.

                  That you can view. 🙂

Maybe a small bowl and just 15 minutes. Keep it short.

It is stuck. I have asked Brian and at least 1 other to look at it. If the smart people can’t figure it out then we should hide this. It is very unsettling. Due to the way I did the caches, I never earned 1 digital art.

Last I heard from TBC was this was a casualty of “Timing Out” and not getting through the list before we couldn’t check anymore. I had hoped it was an alphabetical thing and I would just ride it out and chalk it up to once again being at the end of the alphabet. NOw I’m more sad that everyone else isn’t updating.

                          🙁

When this first started we did Monthly Awards and labrat tried to resurrect this using his own $$$ and donations from others as monthly prizes.

He worked hard to keep jump start this but it just couldn’t go. Like most thing, the programs needs a Champion to have a vision to make the LCG Great Again!!!

Doesn’t have to be a BOD but having one in your corner to fight for something they believe in sure helps or at least a member that feels strongly enough in a plan to keep after it.

Sounds like a Day 2 BOD meeting will be in order for y’all.

I see Naughty notes going to by WisKid occasionally but for Maint. issues or multiple DNFs. The current reviewers may do some disabling but WisKid is the Reaper with his duties solely that of clearing the dead wood.

If a cache hasn’t been found why should it not appear on the list? Points top out at 2 years (double)+ the extra stuff to add to points.

The focus being to keep our caches in good shape and not about scoring which is just a by product of the searching. How many years did that cache on the river ( GC920B Île du Diable -was on the Cache Rescue forever, possibly since 2006 when Buy_The_Tie added it until scott543 verified it gone in 2014).

I’ve widened my Archived notifications out to 60 miles to help lick up those caches Archived but possibly not picked up. I do have a nice letter from WisKid on how he would determine how to add these when he was doing Reaping when he lived here. I’ve added a couple and even contacted the COs of the archived caches to make sure they were picked up (curlygirls).

p.s. I know there are plans for a Cache Rescue/LCG points for one one of the Dive Team caches you mentioned. If it was removed because no one went out to look for it this month but next month it was removed from the LCG and I head out to find it, seems like that would be ‘not fair’.

Over the years we have discussed adding caches to the list, doing quadrants (headache for the admins) and a few others ideas but we keep falling back to the tried and true. I’ll have to dig again on why we can’t do more caches as I don’t remember right now but if we were wanting to add another 250 caches to the list and it was for possible additional scoring points then that seems funny.

What is cool about the LCG is when you play, it makes it difficult to repeat your success the next year since you can only revisit caches for a fraction of the points of finding it. Multi year success comes from traveling a lot ( huffinpuffin2 ) or leaving where no one else does (Team Northwoods) or being King of Cache Rescues (JimandLinda).

We should look at the number of players and see how that is doing. Do we have more/less players than previously? After hosting the LCG in Appleton last year, I have seen more Fox Valley cachers on the list than previously. Wonder what spark we will ignite this year with the event being half way between MKE and the Fox Valley.

Super great things Brian and Jim. I have a lot of passion about the LCG- it is very unique and special. I am trying ti figure out a way to add to the Rescues though…
