in reply to: Tent Suggestions #1885912

I say small tents are better. My dw and I used our small tent for a time, then upgraded…the first big tent rain…inside and out  second time we went to Niagara Falls rain…this time the rain came misting in from the screens. Luckily we brought our small one as backup.. we have gone though what seemed like a monsoon and we were dry. but I hate sitting in the small tent with nothing to do in a small tent during a lighting storm. That’s why I brought my pop up. (the dog likes it much better to).

    hi,

My 2.5 cents I know I am just a causal cacher but I belong to other associations that represent the constituency of the local politicians (the local voting public) the association would have more pull or say in different political things..I.E. the Governor the wdnr big wigs and the sort if it was concerning people who can vote for them as opposed to people who cannot vote for them. There are people who do not live in Wisconsin that belong to the Wisconsin Campers Assoc. but they cannot vote. But they camp way more in Wisconsin then I do.

    Hi,

Two points I am a big believer in trying to make the system work for you…first of all all the cachers in Brown County contact the county supervisor. I have seen county Supervisors lose their jobs for smaller issues then this if you know what I mean. Allot of people view fees like this as just another government regulated fee, which is not very well received by the general public. Another idea is don’t hold events in brown county and make sure the cnty board of brown cnty sees the impact of that to the area. maybe by holding a Midwest geocaching event far enough away from brown cnty so they feel no impact.

    sorry…just blowing smoke 😆

I would love to go any thoughts on what spot we should reserve? Hartmans creek fills up fast… I surprised there are still spots left
