A local camera shop should be able to take the jpegs or whatever format as well. The Camera Company in Madison does I know for sure. I’m sure there is a camera/film shop that should do a 1-hour thing for you. You might want to let your fingers do the walking first though.

Perhaps NOT geocaching in the nude and wearing some pants would help? LOL

How about having a get together or picnic where it is like a multi cache and you have the first coordinate on line and you have to figure out where the heck to meet everyone by finding different way points. On that day there could always be a phone number or a hint to use if they get totally lost and cant find the throng of cachers!
You bet Skreemin Weezel & Folk Trakers, see the event cache page! Great minds think alike

Hello, my name is Jeana White and I work for Erehwon Mountain Outfitters. We are trying to make contact with a geocacher in the Madison area to learn more about the sport and to offer an opportunity to present the sport to the public.
I would appreciate and help you can provide.
Thank you!

Sure. I’ll email you, and perhaps give you a call at the store?
I work just down the street from you.

My money’s on the the Lil Otter! Can anyone else possibly beat her to this???
We prefer/appreciate the long and involved and definitely difficult caches. A lot of these are Multi’s, and the stages have been far apart.
Bring’em on!
We haven’t done hundreds of caches, but they all haven’t been the easiest either. The thrill is in the hunt!

We have a copy of it and I agree that it is a great article! The Isthumus a free newspaper here in Madison, so we can go pick up a load of them. If you are interested, just email us and we can send you one. It hasn’t been posted electronically yet or we would send you the link. Way to go Cachew! We look forward to meeting you at the Mad City event later this month!
WISearchers-
Tony, Rhonda, and BrendanWow.. too funny.. I didn’t know we had GPS technology in 1955.
Sounds good! Looking forward to details! Feel free to use the message board that we set up for madcity cachers as a temporary site until the other one that was discussed at the first caching event gets underway…I am sure that will be much more sophisticated than the one we set up though

Picked up my copy yesterday! It looks pretty cool so far, but like most mapping programs, it puts my home address about a mile away from where it really is. No amount of prodding can convince it otherwise.

Thanks Snoshu and Folk Trakers! That should do it!
Cheesehead Dave, you know the GPSr and Microsoft is never wrong, so I suggest you move to the new coordinates

While in Sam’s Club on Thursday, I saw that Microsoft Streets and Trips was being offered for $26 and then there was a $20 rebate bringing the price down to $6.
On a side note, I have S&T 2001, but can’t figure out how to convert coordinates from (for example) 43 XX.XXX 89 XX.XXX to the 43.XXXX 89.XXXX format which Streets and tips require. Anybody know of a website that I can use to convert?
