Thanks for the suggestion. I have one I will grab, but I do have 2 12v plugs plus a USB port that can charge in the car. I have a micro and mini USB cord for that.
I have a splitter that I will be bringing. I can then run the TomTom GPS and 2 USB devices from that one. Would hate to miss a new cache published and a chance for a FTF on the road. 8)
I will shoot out the final PQ(s) next week to Andy and Sherry. Bill, if you can send me your email addr by PM, I will send the PQ(s) to you also.
I also will have a couple of coolers (large & medium) that we can throw in the trunk, if we decide we need more. I will also have my large green TB hotel and all of it’s contents. I will be making up a checklists for the requirements of the different challenges. I am thinking that it will be a easier way to keep track of which ones we qualify for and the caches that we did to qualify. I am a clipboard freak. 😆
Make sure to also bring cameras to document this trip. Will be great to see lots of them posted on FB. Andy and I talked about the fuel and I said that I would help keep track of it and the receipts. He and I figured that it would be $25 – $30 per person, so if everyone were to give me $30 at the start, I will pay for it out of that and then return the unused funds back to all at the end. If we run short, then we push the car. 😆
Other than what Andy wrote, I can not think of anything else. I have had a watch on all of the target caches and they all seem to be active and people are finding them. There was one down in MO, but I think that it was due to high water. I also activated the publish alerts so that I can start to see how active some of the areas are.
The park and ride lot in the American Family office park still works for me. I probably will be there shortly after 9:30 so that we can hit the road as soon as you folks arrive. Andy, I was thinking that I could drive the first leg and let you get some rest.
I know that Andy drinks coffee. Sherry and Bill, are you coffee drinkers? I will buy the first cup and I also may pack a thermos of some Gevalia gourmet coffee that I have. Anyone is welcome to it, but I must warn you that I prepare it with cream and sugar.
Just like Andy, I am pumped for this trip!!

Thank you to all who have been able to get out and experience our GeoTour! We are working hard to keep the caches safe from muggles and in good spots for everyone to enjoy. 😀
We appreciate all of the great feedback and comments about the GeoTour. Keep them coming!
I think that this is a GREAT idea, as I have been working with Green County Tourism on using this crazy sport to attract people for several years. I hope that your caches remain in good shape, as I will probably go visit them after my July 4th show in Washington Park. Did you have help from an experienced cacher in placing them? Are any of them placed where one should not be seeking them late at night? After my show, I have been coming back into Milwaukee and going caching until sunrise. 🙂 It is very quiet and a very different view of the city when no one is around…except those crazy bread truck drivers. 😆

Bad to the bone!
More like ‘skin and bones’. 😆
Oh…I told you … Bad Robot is stretching his legs and just getting ready to catch someone….

Looks more like he is stuck in a tree in some remote forest, while mine is basking in the warm sun on the sandy beach!

Looks like Bad Robot is on the move! Watch out….
I guess you could call a 13 mile “hop” a move!
Well, in three weeks we will be starting off on this road trip. While we already have a car full, there is still the opportunity for someone to put together another car. Come join Neonride93, GeoBill, WI.Hibicus and I for a 24 hour geocaching adventure. The following is a list of some of the goals that are looking to complete on this wild day together:
One Busy Day: The Illinois Icon Challenge
The Illinois Road Trip Challenge
Seven is Heaven: Puzzle/Mystery Challenge
Seven is Heaven: A Micro Sized “Challenge”
The Insane Cacher Challenge: One Busier Day!
Seven is Heaven: Virtually Challenged
Seven is Heaven: IL Road Trip Challenge
Seven is Heaven: An Earthcache Challenge
Seven is Heaven: Run for the Border Challenge
Indiana’s First
BIG Orange Travel Bug Convention CenterMany of the challenge caches we have already qualified for prior to this trip, while the others we will during the trip. The last two are caches that either are very old or ones that many have known for one reason or another.
I guess I will have to find where I stored my bull whip. 🙂

Then we call them out on it and publicly humiliate them.
Sounds like a plan to me. 🙂

Since the owner has to restart it, and the owner already moved it, there is zero miles. The miles from China to where it is restarted are not counted. The next move is, but only from where it was restarted at.
Yes, that is true. 🙂 What happens if one were to use someone else to release the replacement. There is that cacher on FB that makes free replacements and then releases them.
I am wondering how to handle the miles correctly when a replacement is released. Let say that it goes missing in China and is replaced. When someone grabs the replacement and then drops it, TB-Race would show the mileage from China back to the US in the stats, when it really did not physically travel that distance. To be fair, I think that the mileage needs to be somehow adjusted down.
There is an Android app that allows you to watch a cacher. It’s called GCWatch.
GCWatch lets you save your friends from geocaching.com and request their latest found caches. A list of the last caches including cache-type and find-date is shown.
An optional service will notify you whenever a new find is entered.I have one that I placed up in a tree and people feel to lazy or whatever to climb back up to replace it. If a 58 y/o CO can get his old butt up there then a 20+ cacher should not have a problem.
Next maint run. . . ZIP TIES!!

Did you ever go on this? ( I know this was from last year, just playing around on the forums )
I am also eyeing up Peoria IL for a run someday…..
I have been down there and done a lot of them. I still have a good number to get. Are you interested in grabbing some? Maybe we can talk about this during our 7 state cache run. We need something to keep us awake. 🙂

I must publicly apologize because a few of my comments here have raised some questions from others. Unfortunately some of the comments require insider knowledge of specific situations and without this context they could easily be misintrepreted I also didn’t want to bring specifics into this forum because of the controversial nature so I was trying to stay general.
I apologize to anyone that feels I was calling them out specifically because that was certainly not the intention.
