When it pops up that message and there is no apparent way for me to change the center point, that raises a question with me. If I had more free time, I might consider see what I could do to improve on what is there. I already have enough design and programming to do with my job.
I am not saying what is in use is bad, but rather trying to understand it better. It is what I do for a living.
OK. So this seems to be a valid bug. Does anyone know if there are plans to correct it?

Is the Wisdom Tooth still available? I might be willing to adopt it, but would require some further information in order to make sure that I can properly maintain it. Does it require a boat to reach it or can I reach it by land? I do not boat!
