You two have been on fire caching this summer – can we expect 500 by Thanksgiving?
    Congrats!

    As a matter of record:

My vet says to use the tweezers everytime. After our Kettle Moraine trip and the deer ticks fiasco, I hope to avoid them altogether.
Two of the deer ticks from Kettle Moraine were positive for lymes disease – so again be careful for another couple of weeks.

It is fantastic to have another 100 find cacher. There are so many great caches out there and so little time.

Brings up an interesting topic – Magellen Vs Garmin.

While doing World Wide Quarters this weekend I took my new Garmin 76S and laid it right next to the marker and got:
    N44 59.954 W090 00.236
    Next I tried my Legend
    N44 59.954 W090 00.240

The actual coords listed by the cache placer (ones that they recorded) were
    N44 59.956 W090 00.237
    and these were in 2001.

All within a very tight range.

So if someone could take their Magellen and try the same it should be reasonably close if the conditions were the same.

However, others that have done this cache were .2 tenths off which is a huge difference even adjusting for conditions.

So if we all met on the same day at this spot and calibrated our gps’s – all stories, tales and fables on which is better would be solved as far as accuracy goes .

I have found those with Magellens take longer to lock in once at a point.

By the way – everyone should do this cache.

    Great job!

Not bad when you consider there were only 600 and some caches in the state as of last March.

Hmmmm you must get out a lot – as you might say.
