I would also like to place my vote on Hartman Creek. That’s a great park with a really nice group camp area and plenty of places to hide caches.
Thanks guys!
I’ll be bringing some goodies for door prizes again.
I’m also waiting to hear from Sherper’s as to what they are willing to contribute to the cause. I should be hearing from them by Saturday. We may have to put up a little Sherper’s banner at the picnic but that’s a small price to pay, right?Hows this for someone who’s hooked;
About a year and a half ago, Thraxman and I made a trip to St. Louis to do some caching and one of the hunts we chose was a multi that was put together by a guy who used it to propose to his girlfriend. The original log at the last waypoint (which was at a very scenic and, of course, romantic location) started out with “will you marry me?”. What a way to get your future spouse to have a soft spot for your favorite hobby.Oh for cripes sake.
Straws? Strings? Knots?
Just grab the dang thing and yank it off!sheesh…
As the first finder of Scarab, I would just like to take this opportunity to say:
Neener, neener!
LOL!
(God, I’m SUCH a jerk!)
Great article, but did they HAVE to decrypt my clue and then proceed to give away the location of the cache? Sheesh!
We were there with Inside Edge (50+) and Fb=E (25-) so the young’uns still have the lead. They should be posting soon.
Well, I was up north when the last “bike day” was held and missed out. Sounds like you guys had a blast! So when is everyone up for another?
Times of renewed repression, indeed.
I fear that in this brave new world of ours, it would take no less than an Arabian ancestry for the same fate to befall more, otherwise innocent, individuals.
Mindless, pushbutton patriotism has always had a way of changing the rules.
I have a very close friend from Lybia who has owned and operated a successful business in Waukesha for many years and has proven to me, on many occasions, that his love and respect for our country and all that it stands for is nearer and dearer to his heart than any “native” Americans that I know. He may have to close his business soon, due to the efforts of several “God fearing, red blodded Americans” who suspect his very existance on “our” soil.
Keep waving those flags, dittoheads. The rest of us will be mourning Sacco and Vanzetti.I have owned two Garmin Etrex units and am pretty much fed up with them. I love the fact that they are small, which is what drew me to them in the first place, but I have a heck of a time getting a good lock in the woods. Since the woods are where I do most of my geocaching it kind of makes them a little useless for me. Right now, I have my sights set on a new Garmin 76S. It’s getting great reviews and seems to have most of the features I’m looking for.
Jeremy and I hid our caches near the same spot last Saturday so it looks like we may have two caches to hunt at the springs, which is kind of cool, since it’s a very long hike to a great place that everyone should enjoy visiting while they are exploring the park. So, here’s my second hide:

Since this seems to be turning into a vote page I would like to formally cast mine for an informal meeting after the caching is done. An open forum would be my choice.
.. have not had one Wisconsin waterfall close enough to me to explore yet, but will, because I do know that another geocacher will wish to share this location with me.~The Lil Otter[/B]
OK, time for a shameless plug, here!
Yawningdog and Inside Edge would like to share a waterfall with you, Lil Otter!
http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.asp?ID=28421Hope you get a chance to head up that way some time. There are some wonderful caches in the area (some of them mine
) GREAT job on the article, Ken! Thank you for producing it on such short notice. We are truly blessed by the talents of our orginization. It continually amazes me how this all came together in the last year and a half. It’s almost as if there was guidance from above.
