    Hi,

Congrats on finding your 500th. Lots of fun, is all the number means, I guess, but it is indeed a great milestone.

Hope to see ya on the trails again some day.

I hope to cache before and after the event, all weekend, and would be happy to cache along with anyone, either saturday or sunday.

On another subject, my camper is in urgent need of multi repairs, so I guess I will not be camping, unless I come up with a tent or something by then. I am wondering if anyone wants a free campsite, in exchange of letting me share their tent???

    Hi,

I got the same email with my first find in the UK too. I was lucky enough to meet several UK cachers and it was a great part of my trip there. I would suggest if anyone is planning a trip abroad to check out an event there. Easy to make great new friends.

Except for downtown london, I thought the caching in the UK was great. There seems to be a lot more geocoins floating around over there.

Just wanted to publicly thank Coastie for organizing the group find of The Gauntlet. I could never have succeeded in getting it, without the team effort. Plus we had a lot of fun talking cachin al the Lil Otter’s and cachin with new and old friends…..All in all I had a great weekend..

    Hi all,

Since I am a late addition, and havent posted much in this forum, I just wanted to confrim coming. I plan to meet at wpt 1 at 0900, then taking my camper to Lil Otter;s

I hope to do some caching both Sat and Sun in the area in addition to the Gauntlet, that is if I can still hobble.

Also, I thought someone would be staying with me in the camper, but it turns out I will be alone. So if anyone would like to stay in my camper, just let me know. I have room for 1 to 3.

Yep, this is a great cache. I remember the hike back to this one very well, having taken the “shortcut'” my log of the cache find includes coordinates of where to park, which i would strongly suggest. the hike from my suggested parking coordinates is fantastic, just as seth describes.

Thanks for the congrats on 2K, though it is still not about the numbers. I really thought I would get to 2K while in Wales, but was able to get only 75 caches while in England and Wales for 2 weeks, mostly because i chose not to rent a car. Cache quality is very high in Wales, very good in Oxford, and pretty poor in central London. I did a lot of walking to get the ones I did get, and it was an excellent trip.

So when i returned home, got em all logged, and found i was still one short, i chose to finish of the excellent HBZ series, grabbing the ultra mystery cache, which like the others in that excellent series is in an excellent spot. Challenging and scenic, which describes the remainder of the series as well, a cache series designed for people who prefer to walk between caches instead of driving to them.

Congratulations Marie and Seth!!!!!!! You guys are awesome. I see you picked a great cache for 2000, and I loved the photos you posted, and I can see from the second one where Marc got his idea about multiplication.

I have been chasing you guys since ya passed me at the 1000 mark. You sure have poured on the coal this last month to get to 2000, even quicker than I expected. But even though ya beat me to 1K and 2K, I wonder if you can beat me to 3K???

Seriously, I feel honored that I have been able to cache a few times with you guys. It is great to cache with ya, and great to know ya.

Way to go. Sounds like ya had a lot of fun makin it to 1K. I am sure ya enjoyed em, and will enjoy the next K as well.

Hope to meet ya on the trails one of these fine days.
