I am so saddened to hear that you have an illness, an illness that takes you away from an activity that I know you enjoy. It was great to meet you at the 100/100 event, and that was one of the funest cache experiences that I have had.
I wish you the best of luck, and the best of health possible.

It’s all one cache.HOW COLD IS IT?
It is so cold, my dog refuses to geocache me.
It is so cold, I let a FTF oppourtunity pass me by and read a book instead.
It is so cold, the only way to geocache is to look at some of the mystery caches that have popped up, geocaching by the fire.
It is so cold, I had to smoke 2 cigars at once, just to warm my face.

It’s all one cache. It is quite obvious to me that the WGA board made an appropriate and wise choice with the handling of these special coins.
Anyone who has time to nitpick the details of their decision really needs to focus on things that actually matter, for example, a president who thinks it is OK to illegally wiretap American citizens without cause or a search warrant.

It’s all one cache.THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU.
Many thanks for all who offered ideas on how to correct this problem, especially Cathunter, whose suggestion proved to be the one that worked for me. I was able to download the software, and after multiple missteps, finally was able to make it work. I am so excited. I really abhor sitting at the computer, fiddling with stuff like that, but I do believe that it is going to be worth it.
The computer GSAK now recognizes my Garmin, and I was able to download some waypoints…. Now I need to get to one of those paperless classes and learn how to do all the fancy stuff Marc and Seth tried to show me. I also need to figure out the PDA, but that is a battle for a different day.
Again, thanks a ton!!!!!

It’s all one cache.Hey, thanks a ton for all the help. I am going to try to download the driver. Unfortunatley, I dont have the CD that came with it, and dont even recall getting one.
How do you tell a Legend C from a Legen Cx? Mine just says Legend C, so I am assuming it is not a Cx. Plus it is about a year old, so I think it must be a C.
Again, thanks. I will report back after I try again.

It’s all one cache.Hi all,
Interesting topic, with many good points all ready made. I clipped and pasted the following excerpt from the MO cache approvers notes, a note that it seems that they make when approving caches that I think is very much on target:
>>>>”Since your new cache seems to have all the required parts, not closer than 0.1 mile from any other caches, not near a railway and you are close enough to properly maintain it, it has been listed on the GC.com site. As a cache placer,* you * have the unique ability to improve (or degrade) the quality of Geocaching in your area. I hope that this cache will be a positive addition. <<<<

Great article. The identical photo and story were also in the Eau Claire Liar-Telegram. My mom cut it out for me, cuz I missed seeing it in my own copy of the paper.

It’s all one cache.I a made up the name zuma on the spur of the moment, not thinking at the time that the user name would stick. I was listening to Neil Young’s record “Zuma” when the website prompted me to create a user name. At first, I used zuma4now, with the intention of changing it to something better if I stuck with it. There is already a zuma registered at gc.com, so I just added an “!” to make the computer take it.
I believe that Neil Young got the name Zuma, from a beach in California near where he recorded the album. So I am keeping the zuma moniker as a reference to Neil Young and as a reminder of a goal to find a cache on Zuma Beach.

Congratulations!!!
Thanks everyone for the congrats and all. And yes, I use a Garmin (I dont like to get lost.)
I tell myself that I dont geocache for the numbers, but truthfully, it does add a little something to the mix. For me, it is more about getting outside, exploring new places and seeing things that I might not see otherwise. Even so, I hope to catch up to the Ecorangers and BWQ sometime in mid 2017.

It’s all one cache.Congratulations to Trudy & the Beast on finding 31 of the Yellowstone Trail caches. And, thanks for all of the kind comments. If anyone has trouble finding any of them, please dont hesitate to drop me an email, and I will help you out.
The last two (Roberts & Baldwin) are in the approval que right now, so the trail will be pretty much complete from Illinois to Minnesota. Though, I do expect to add new ones occasionally and modify existing ones, as the need arises.
I have had a blast driving up and down the trail, first checking out all the existing caches within a couple of miles of the trail route, and then going back later to place the caches after doing a web search on whatever I found of interest. The basic idea was to put one in every town along the trail, and just one per town, hopefully in a spot interesting and unique that tells a story about what that town was like in the 1920s. In some cases that was not possible, but often it was.
