The Lonely Cache Game committee met at the Fall Campout/Picnic to discuss potential changes to the game. It was decided to make the following changes, which will become effective on January 1, 2021.

1) Currently, bonus points are given for caches that have not been found in more than one year (double points) and more than two years (triple points). As all of the caches on the lists this year have been lonely for more than 2 years, the bonus points have become meaningless. We will be changing the bonus points to: double points for caches not found for 2 or more years and triple points for caches not found for three years or more.

2) Currently, bonus points are only available for caches that are found for the first time. To encourage more revisits, bonus points will now apply for revisits of caches previously found, on the same schedule as finds.

3) We will be re-wording rule 5. b. to read, “You revisit a cache that you have found before and confirm its location and condition, or that it is missing, in a note on the cache page. If the cache is present you must sign the log to claim the revisit. If it is a multi, you must confirm the condition of all stages. See rule clarification in section 11. Score: Terrain + 2 points (+ 1 point if a multi)”
