The Board of Directors is proposing changes to the WGA Bylaws. Over time we have found that our approach to managing the business of the WGA has drifted a bit from what is stated in the current bylaws. The proposed changes would bring the bylaws more in line with recent practice while removing some of the most prescriptive guidance to allow the current board to make decisions about what tools will work best for them. Other changes of note include an addition to the Secretary’s duties as well as a significant rework of Article VII on elections to streamline the portion on board and officer vacancies. These changes will be posted for member review for a period of at least seven days before the board will vote on whether to approve them. It’s the most wonderful time of the year – in more ways than one! The WGA is gearing up for their annual Board of Director Election. Nominations will be accepted beginning at 12:00 a.m. on December 31st. NOW is the time to consider who to nominate! The BOD needs geocachers who are ready to give back and be a part of all that the Wisconsin Geocaching Association does and has to offer! Is that you? Is that someone you know? Start talking and be ready to be nominated or accept a nomination! Let’s do this! Please direct specific questions to any current BOD member!
