WGA – CITO Grants

We are currently in the middle of CITO season 2 (September 1-November 30) for 2024. Are you planning to host a CITO event? Did you know the Wisconsin Geocaching Association offers grants to CITO event hosts across Wisconsin for up to the amount of $50 that can be used towards the costs associated with purchasing supplies? To receive this reimbursement, send an email to your Board of Directors at [email protected] as you begin your planning process. Please let us know your GC#, event location and date. We have funding for up to 10 events, realizing the money comes from the merchandise sold at events plus member donations, so get your request in early!

Lonely Cache Game

Lonely Cache Game – Ready to Play!

After a pause in the long standing game at the beginning of 2024, the WGA Lonely Cache Game (LCG) is ready to hit play at www.wi-geocaching.com/lonely-cache-game The game has been relaunched in a new format as of October 1. Long term plans are to further streamline the entry form as part of an overall website revamp. For now, the game will be utilizing a Google form to submit your lonely cache entries. Any Wisconsin cache last found over a year ago is eligible to earn points, so head out and search out some lonelies!

Also returning, the cache rescue. Visit www.wi-geocaching.com/rescue for a list of missions. Complete the mission, log it on the cache rescue page, and then complete the new LCG form to claim your points.
